What's bugging you? (2007)

Traffic on I-94 on Friday nights. Yet another Friday night home game, yet another raincheck for the bobblehead. There were just a shade over 40,000 people in the stadium, and I still didn't get a bobblehead. I arrived in the bottom of the first. If it's an all-fan giveaway, shouldn't you have enough on hand for all fans?

Bandwagon jumpers....in both directions.

Hey, here's something to consider....baseball season lasts longer than your favorite TV show.

Posted

another one of my shows that I watch (Jericho) is rumored to be cancelled after one season. And it ended on a cliff hanger, sort of.

I'm sick of that happening. Might as well not watch any new shows anymore.

My wife and I built a new house 18 months ago, now we are moving out of the area and need to sell it (or have a mysterious fire).

People who assume that criticism of on-field decisions & poor play also means renouncing one's fandom.

What ever happened Crazyk1294? As someone who was an instructor, I cannot understand her actions.

I replied to her email and told her that I didn't recieve her email (this should have been obvious, since I sent her numerous follow-up emails). I never got a response, but I was apparently terminated from the course on the last day of class (I found this out when I logged onto Blackboard to take the last exam for this course).

So I emailed a bunch of people at the school and someone is "looking for answers". I'll make a few more phone calls this week though. It's pretty rediculous that I can't get an email response for an online course.

I was just reminded that NCAA basketball is moving back the 3 point line for 2008 -- something that pisses me off monumentally. Hate, hate, hate the decision. I feel so helpless watching a darn good sport ruined by an unnecessary change.

....that i can't get a date. Seriously, 26 years of "thanks, you're a great guy, great friend, and millions of women would love to be with you....but not me" really is annoying. All I want is to go on a date with someone nice and at least relatively attractive (we all have different opinions), yet my 12 year old cousins have more dating experience.

Continuing the trend started a few posts up...I'm curious to know if Need More Fans' co-worker ever caught some heat for spending so much of her work shift on personal phone calls:

E-mail has been sent to my 2 supervisors about my co-worker last night. I sure hope she gets talked to about it.

I worked with her for the first time since that incident last night. Both of my supervisors were there. I know she sat and talked to them for nearly an hour in an open door meeting, but I didn't listen to what was being said.

After, my bosses had a closed door meeting, and she proceeded to chat away on the phone with her mom for about a half hour. Sigh...

Paper towels with reduced sheet sizes.

I was thinking the same thing when my fiancee recently picked up paper towels at the store. I go to use one yesterday and it is like half the size of a normal one? What is with that?

Resist the urge to date your experienced cousins, nothing good will come out of that http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I think the select-a-size paper towels are great. I often don't need a full paper towel. Just get into the habit of tearing off the amount you need.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

I've got to side with Casey on the paper towel issue. It's neat to be able to tear off (about) a half sheet for a small job rather than waste a bigger sheet.

somebody at my office offered 4 free tix to see the white sox/yanks game this afternoon (+parking pass) and i can't find anybody to go with me. 98% of my friends either work or hate baseball.

It bugs me when people post something contrary to what someone else just posted. It's like so clever to crack back in a what's bugging you thread.

I don't care if people like the reduced size paper towels, they still piss me off. I work in a lab and we constantly spill things and I go to rip off a square of paper towl and it's smaller than my hand. I got to start reading the packaging before I buy.

My new beef is with people saying or posting, "I just threw up in my mouth a little". I've seen it on this message board at least 5 times lately.

If your going to throw up, just open up your mouth and let it out.

agreed, it's not even a funny line. Yet some use it a lot.

Movie critics who are shills for the motion picture industry.

Granted, I haven't seen Spiderman 3 yet (and I don't really plan on it), but I've heard enough about it to conclude that it is not good (a 61% on Rotten Tomatoes to boot). Specifically, there's a particular commercial for the movie that throws out phrases like, "...the best film in the trilogy..." and other such crap. Apparently some people have no soul.

Heck, even for the worst films ever created (e.g., Baby Geniuses, Garfield: The Movie, etc.) there have been review snipets claiming, "...brilliantly funny..." and "...one of the best films of the year..." It's ridiculous.
