Milwaukee Bucks Thread 2009–2010 (part 2)

The Bucks play in the 3rd is the worst I've ever seen. Let's get it together.

Boy...rough night on O...being an ATL fan would drive someone nuts. They make odd decisions. Its like Ned is on their bench

I just keep getting the feeling that the Bucks are gonna lose by 4 or something.....I hope not, but it seems like it.

Under 70 points, yikes, my hatred for Josh Smith couldn't be higher. Never did like him or his game, but now I really dislike him.

Yep....that sucked. But I guess they are saving about an extra 30-40 points for game 7, right?

Well now the young guys are going to know what it's like to play both a clinching game for your team and now a win-or-go-home game. They obviously aren't winning a title this year, so it's just about getting as much experience in different situations as possible.

Wow this was a bad game. Could of easily won if we actually hit some open shots. Refs were terrible in the 4th quarter but hard to blame them with an offensive performance like this. Atlanta didn't play well at all, we just played worse.

Atlanta is a perfect example on why the NBA is so hard to watch. 5 very tallented players who dont work together at all. Their entire offense is to isolate one guy and try to drive or get a jumpshot. One to two passes max.

 

That team should be much, much, better. Some of those guys are very good. But they are struggling against the Bucks, who nobody picked.

 

I would love to see the Bucks pull this off! This season's team plays the game as a team and works very hard. Fear the Deer!

Charlie Bell is inactive today due to being late to a team meeting this morning. ESPN quoted Bell's response to his deactivation being "I wasn't going to play anyway." I really hope this quote was taken out of context, but if not that's a pretty poor attitude for a guy who could possibly contribute in a game 7. Yeah, he has fallen out of favor in the rotation, but still.

That was a nice run to end the half, though. Hopefully that can give them some momentum going into the second.

They had guys making baskets, plain and simple.

 

When their top two scorers in the playoffs combine to shoot 6-28 (on Friday) and 10-26 so far today... they aren't gonna win against a superior team unless the other guys come through and hit shots. With Delfino (1-7), Stackhouse (0-3), Ridnour (0-3) and Ilyasova (3-10) starting their own brick laying company they aren't gonna have a chance. It's amazing the game is as close as it is.

It wasn't a poor effort today or even Friday, it was poor shooting. I hope people see the difference.

 

Good run and the future isn't too bleak with this team.

So the Bucks are about to end their season in a blow out, but I'm not disappointed. They've won back a lot of fans, myself included, and the future looks pretty bright. If done right, Hammonds, Skiles, Jennings and Bogut could be at the start of a nice playoff run for this franchise, as well as a new arena. Overall this was an A+ season for the Bucks. FEAR THE DEAR!

Nobody expected a game 7, let alone the playoffs back in November. Good experience for Jennings to be in the playoffs. Actually looking forward to next basketball season for a change.

Live and die by the J...but that is what was left w/o Bogut.

 

Needs are another big, #2 guard if Salmones leaves and need to upgrade the guards off the bench. More more wing defender would help. This team isn't that far away from being top #3 seed.

Question for people who follow the NBA more than I do: was reading Bill Simmons' latest column and he mentioned how Ray Allen could be had this off-season for the mid-level exception (roughly $5.8 million). If Salmons leaves, do you think the Bucks could lure him back now that we are a competitive team? It seems like he would fill a need at shooting guard and he has always professed a love for Milwaukee.

If Salmons leaves, do you think the Bucks could lure him back now that we are a competitive team? I'm sure Ray would love to come back to Milwaukee, and I would love to see him back, but I'm not sure he would fit on a Scott Skiles team. He just doesn't play defense well enough, and with Delfino and Redd already on the roster, it would be too many of the same type of player. If Redd and Delfino were not on the team, I think it would work.

Well, it was great season. If someone told me before the season that we'd be the 6th seed and take our playoff opponent to the brink I'd be happy. To do it without Redd and Bogut just makes it even more impressive. I know a lot of people hate Redd now but you can't deny we could of used a HEALTHY Mike Redd this series. A lot of what ifs from this season but time to move on, this team is going to be something in the years to come with Jennings and Bogut. This team is one great player away from contending I think.

 

I think I'm going to hop on the trade for Iguodala train. We'd have to take on Elton Brand and his huge contract but I think Elton could be useful to us too at the 4 and backup 5. John Salmons is a free agent and I'd bring him back as long as he's reasonable with his contract or else I'd go after Ray Allen who I would think would only be expecting like MLE at this point of his career.

 

If we don't trade our 1st round pick I'd like to look at guys like Ekpe Udoh, Greg Monroe, Cole Aldrich, Hassan Whiteside, Daniel Orton, Xavier Henry, Paul George, Stanley Robinson. Interesting guys in late 1st or 2nd imo like Craig Brackins, Luke Babbit, Brian Zoubek, Jarvis Varnardo, Matt Bouldin, Lance Stephenson(if Skiles thinks he can handle him), Jordan Crawford, Sharron Collins. Guys I'm pretty sure I don't want with our 1st are Gordon Hayward, Patrick Patterson, Donatas Motiejunas(I haven't seen any of him but his scouting report reads like another soft euro bust) or Devin Ebanks.

They need another athletic "big" and some help at the 2 spot. As far as who.....if you draft, good luck. Seems like there is a 50/50 chance of a stud or a bust.

 

A big trade could help keep the mojo going in Milwaukee......they have a good thing going right now and need to keep it up. There is genuine excitement right now
