To be fair, this is the lineup that beat St. Louis last night, only with Overbay instead of Lucroy.

This IGT is probably already my favorite IGT so far in 2014, & the game still isn't scheduled to start for another hour & a half... (if it starts at all)

Maybe we could give Gomez a breather and start Weeks in CF?

In all actuality, this may be as good a chance as any to see if Rickie can play a different position as poorly as he plays 2B.*

*I love Rickie Weeks too FYI :embarrassed

If Lynn challenges the Brewers tonight and pounds the zone with fastballs Davis will have a big night.

"Most of these guys never had a prime"

CLASSIC!! :laughing

Who were the other 4 SP's on that mlb team besides the Crisco guy?

I have a strange (and probably temporary) fondness for the Counselnino days, if only for the outstanding platoon names. If I weren't familiar with the current roster challenges, I'd swear this lineup was the result of a dare or lost bet.

But they don't play games on paper. Honestly, I think a "win" for tonight would be no new or worsening Brewers injuries.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Meh..I guess I'm not in agreement with most on the Lucroy thing. I understand he needs a rest, but not tonight, not against the Cards. It's almost like RRR is saying "Well, we will probably lose anyways, might as well give Lucroy a rest too." Also, something has to give. I can't believe that some DL move was not made today.

Oh...my...god. This lineup is scary:

1. Gomez

2. Herrera

3. Gennett

4. Davis

5. Overbay

6. Reynolds

7. Bianchi

8. Maldonado

Praying to not get no hit tonight.

Did the Brewers hire the Packers' strength and conditioning staff?

Weather looks pretty clear and sunny in the background when Bill and Lepay were just doing the intro.... Doesn't appear a rainout is in the offing. Let's go get us a W with a lineup I could easily pencil Enrique Cruz and Lenny Harris into.

Our opening day 2-3-4-5 hitters are all out and its still April, must not be too common.

I think the JV squad can put up a fight with our Varsity ace on the hill

Hesitant to say this, but If I were the Cards, I would be throwing bean balls and executing some classy hard slides into second just to try and make the Brewers pay for playing shorthanded.

its hard to believe RRR still uses the model of 2nd hitter being a little fast guy who can bunt. luckily most of the time those guys can also get on base for us

What channel is the other split-squad game on? I only get the game vs STL.
