2014-05-11 Yankees (Phelps) at Brewers (Garza), 1:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 6-5, on Reynolds' walkoff single]

[pacopete4]

Schafers time with us can end too. He just won't hit enough to be worth it. Give someone else a try

[adambr2]

I just can't fathom why we wouldn't challenge. It would have removed a run from scoring position and possibly saved this game.

This whole "we need to be 100% sure in case we need to challenge a play later" mentality is just stupid. Games can swing in the first inning. If you're 95% sure, challenge the damn thing.

That's certainly true, but you know that there's 9 innings to go, and having a challenge left LATE could loom LARGE by comparison.

I'm pretty certain that even if you don't have a challenge left late, the crew can look at a call on their own initiative. (7th or later isn't it?)

Either way, no excuse not to challenge that call in the 1st.

[adambr2]

When you choose to bat Lyle Overbay in the cleanup spot, you pretty much deserve to get the offensive struggles that we have been getting.

[adambr2]

We are really not adjusting to the approach that MLB pitchers take with us at all. It's nothing but hack, hack, hack. Starting pitchers going 7-8 innings on us is going to become commonplace.

[yfinn6]

Holy crap, someone didn't swing at the first pitch?

[adambr2]

I hate homeplate umpires that change their zone based on the count (bigger zone on 3-0 counts, smaller zone on 0-2 counts.)

[chickinbrickin]

I am a huge fan of Khrush, but I think it might be time to send him down to get right. Too bad there arent really any better options. Maybe get Gindl more at bats.

[Dead Simmons]

NJ Garza!

[Dead Simmons]

Lord.....that was all bone.

But he's OK

[adamb100]

Although I didnt see the pitch, something I think pitchers hit batters to injure them.

[Dead Simmons]

Why bunt? Rediculous.

[BuckyBrewer61]

I hate bunting

[yfinn6]

Nice job, Lyle.

[DuWayne Steurer]

Overbay didn't strike out with a man on third and less than 2 outs. I'm honestly (no sarcasm) surprised.

[pacopete4]

Come on. At least tie this baby up!

[yfinn6]

Geez Reynolds.

[DuWayne Steurer]

K. Davis.........walked???

Whut?

[Cool Hand Lucroy]

Glad Gomez appears to be okay.

At least serving a suspension will give him a few days off. Still, the timing really couldn't be worse. Need Braun, Luc, and Segura to really hit next week.

Back in the game for now. Garza needs a quick one. Get back out there, offense.

[vegasbrewcrew1993]

At least they are only down by one. They'll eventually start teeing off on that bum Phelps

[jjgott]

Still incomprehensible how inept Garza is at throwing a ball to a base. Why not try underhand?

[jjgott]

Weeks needs more playing time

[yfinn6]

Cool, here comes Kintzler to give up a run or two.

I love being wrong!

Seems a little doomy/gloomy on here today. To keep things in order, I would really like to punch the 5 Card Cash guy....

[adamb100]

LUUCCCCCCCC!

[yfinn6]

Atta boy, Luc! Let's bust this thing open now.
