Simmons in '83 was pretty good, but not at that level plus he played half the time at DH

Surhoff in '95 barely played at Catcher, and Nilsson never played catcher enough to really compare.

So especially after you count his defense this is comfortably the best season by a Brewers catcher.

Thing is, the Cubs were up 3-0 and had 2 on, no out in 4th. Pirates turned a 5-4-3 triple play and things went downhill quickly for CHI after that.

As long as it means we don't feel the need to re-sign Reynolds, I'm good with "in the mix" but between him and Rogers, we should be a lot better off in 2015 than we have been since Corey Hart...

 

Now, if our manager can continue to give the guy starts so we can really see what we have, that would be a good thing.

I wonder if ATL will come alive at all. The Crew sure would like it if they got competitive for the 4 game set with PIT. Recent events seems to indicate that they're toast, but then we can say that about the Crew, too.
