That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

They will get a hit tonight. Niewenhuis is on fire!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Look at the WHIP difference between the two pitchers for this game. If it wasn't for the history possibilities tonight, Cub fans should stay home. It will be a cold boring game without much question about the outcome.

First, there's always question about the outcome. That's what makes baseball great.

Given the weather outlook in Chicago, I think it's 50/50 that this game gets played in it's entirety. Feels like it'll be a shortened or suspended game, if not rained out altogether.

I really hope you are not a coach of some sort. There is a reason that there is a saying "that's why they play the games."

I'm hoping they get the game in, but the Cubs decide it's way to cold to risk injury to Arrieta and they run someone else out there.

Yeah, it looks like tonight's starters will pitch tomorrow. Given that, I think we can continue to use this thread. No word yet on games beyond that.

They switched Davies to Friday already...it was Anderson. Not clear what they are doing with Anderson, but looks like they might skip him to keep Peralta on schedule since he is still penciled in on Saturday.

The lineups in the lead will be left in place and adjusted tomorrow if necessary.

Brewers aren't back in Chicago until August. Both teams have off days on the 15th, the Monday prior to the scheduled series starting. It's conceivable a current Brewer player could be in a Cub uniform by then and vice- versa.

No we are looking at a series split if we can somehow knock Arrieta off his pedestal and Jungmann figures it out. Tall order but that's why the play the games. On a side note, this would be a game I'd toss some money down on the Brewers in Vegas and hope for the upset!

I would guess that you'd make a lot with little to lose.

Both of today's lineups are the same as the ones announced last night.

I wonder if there will be more people at the ball park than usual today due to the NFL draft being in Chicago. Maybe some people looking for something to do during the day? Plus Arrieta.

Odd question, let's say they played last night and the game got called after 6 or 7 like the Twins game. 6-0 Cubs win and Brewers have 0 hits. Does it count as a no-hitter?

Lead off hit, love it. Broken bat, don't care.

Off and running early. Come on Luc!

Oh boy, Carter up with bases loaded in the first and one out. A chance to jump on Arrieta before he gets settled in. This could be fun!
