No but I do like how they have responded in the second and third period. They will need to find ways to manufacture goals this year

They play hard and they play pretty solid defense we just don't have natural goalscores

Hopefully by the end of the season they kind of get things figured out but it's going to take a pretty big late season run to get them into the tournament this year.

Going to be a long season if you can't score more than two goals. A game.

Outplayed Denver in many ways but simply don't have anybody that can put the puck in the net.

Five games in and yet to score more than two goals in a game

Yea, this team is going to struggle to score goals 5 on 5.  Losing Whitelaw and Lucius are going to hurt.  In other notes, I saw that Urdahl has 3 goals and I think Stange had a game winner this year too for Omaha.

I think this is actually the year the rebuild starts. I suspect this will be the low water mark for the next 3 years.

UW finished the contest with a 44-24 advantage in shots on goal but still fell in overtime to Notre Dame three to two.

Dominated large chunks of play but again the complete lack of goal scorers bites them in the butt.

Have yet to score three goals in a game

Seems like with high level goal scorers either you have it or you don't.

Hard work will get some goals but the majority of it comes from guys that can shoot the puck.

They are 2-6, but they have dominated every game except the 2nd Denver game.  Even the first game they probably should have won.  Like you said, they need to score more than 2 goals.

Funny connection that I just found out.  A kid I grew up with played for Hastings in Juniors.  Apparently the first thing they were told was, 'If you don't want to play at this end of the ice, the door is over there.' And he was referring to the D zone.  I can see it, their D zone coverage is so much better than under Granato.

If Whitelaw and Lucius would have stayed they would likely be 6-2. It's a fine line.

They will be competitive and hopefully find enough scoring to peak at the end of the season.

Really like Hastings.

Need to get at least one against the Gophs this weekend(hopefully Sat when I am there)

Nice looking PP goal to get it started tonight for the Badgers

Happy Jim Carrey GIF

Gotta stay out of the box.

Taking 5 penalties in the 2nd may cost them the game.

Not sure they even had a quality shot on goal in the third period

The lack of goal scorers is more than they can over come this season.

I thought they brought in a goal scorer via the transfer portal this year. Where is that dude?  Finley seems like about the only guy able to create and get some quality looks, he’s just not hitting the back of the net very often

They just can't go short-handed against really good teams like this That's when you're shortage of raw talent really shows up and had they stayed out of the box late in the 3rd they might have won.

I knew once it went to three on three they were toast because they simply don't have the talent to be able to go against Minnesota in a three and three contest.

He'll get them there but it's not going to be this year. And I really worry about somebody pilfering Finley in the NIL market next spring with him being the only offensive talent they have.

While Scarfone has not been terrible he is certainly not been good either.

That goal on the power play should have been stopped.
