Clinton-Dix will be a free agent and is coming off a bad, bad year. Has Josh Jones figured out where to line up yet? He had a full season and at the end still didn't appear to have the slightest clue as to what he was doing. Packers need all sorts of defensive backs, not just cornerbacks.

Why safety for GB? That's about the last position they need.

 

Fitzpatrick would be a slot corner, or even an outside guy in Pettine's defense. He likes big corners who can press. Ward is even bigger, but more a traditional safety.

I'd guess the next three picks are some combination of Edmunds, Via and James...which would mean Fitzpatrick makes it to #14.

Wow, Fitzpatrick to the Dolphins. Now Tampa Bay probably takes James. Bummer if the Packers miss out on all the top DBs, although it probably should have been expected.

Who says they convert him? I'd guess he plays the in-the-box safety with Jones at nickle LB. Find good players and put them in the position to play.

If James and Edmunds are the next two picks, IMO that is worst case scenario for Green Bay. When balancing value and need, IMO there is a huge falloff after those two players. Vea may be of similar value, but I don't think the Packers can take him with Clark already locked down on the nose.

I think its funny some of the highlight film you showcase to promote these guys as studs. When watching its like, um thats a bad throw by the QB in to quadruple coverage. A LB blowing up an undersized RB who thinks the OL was going to block.
