Nice to see Manny Piña with an important home run. He has been a bit of an afterthought this year, but great to see him come up big in that spot.

Yes agree, hope that helps his confidence with the bat moving forward.

Bullpen retires 12 of the last 13 batters faced over the final four innings. Great performance locking down a tight game.

Finally 9 games over for first time this season!

That is great, here’s hoping they can get to double digits over now!

Brewers begin the season series at 5-1 against Pirates after only winning 7 games against them all of last season (7-12 in the 2018 season series versus the Pirates).

Was a fun game to attend. Good win!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Just realized the site is back up, so I’m starting a no frills IGT in the mid-7th inning break.

A little late on this because the site was down when I checked.

I was also at yesterday’s game to extend my record for this season to 7-0. It was a nice win, but the first few innings took forever.

I want to bookmark one thing about the game. The next time Jeffress gives up a run or two on cheap hits, remember how fortunate he was yesterday. Three sharply hit balls right at infielders allowed him to get out of the inning with just 5 pitches, but he sure didn’t fool anybody.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
