Hopefully JJ will take his pitching and food truck to a different state next season. Awful.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Jeffress really hitting a wall this year.

On a side note. Is anyone else slightly disappointed in Gamel this year? Maybe it was just wishful thinking but I really thought he'd put up better numbers than he has so far.

Maybe a little. But I was a bit jaded by the fact that he'd been benched the past two years in the post-season in favor of a really bad catcher.

JJ has actually been decent in August. Started the month with a rough outing against the Cubs, then went on a nice run. Gave up the run in 2 1/3 on Saturday. Otherwise been good.

One of those spots here where it's tough for CC. Early in the year he would have left Claudio in with the probably lefty pinch hitter on deck. Not sure I like Guerra better in this spot at all.

I am legitimately shocked Counsell thought Guerra was his best option in this situation. [sarcasm]Maybe he’s playing for draft position.[/sarcasm]
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Jeffress and Junior can both go.

Now the lefty Carpenter. It's rare I feel this way but Bader was a righty they should have left Claudio in for.

Who else do you go to? This pen is flat bad.

I just got home, has Albers pitched? I would take my chances with him getting the ground ball needed.

I mean...again, I will get accused of bashing CC, but why oh why oh why of all your bullpen options would you pick Junior for that spot?? What has he thought he has seen from Junior all year to think for one second Junior could get you out of that mess?? Honestly, as much as I'd be scared to not have him to close tonight, to me, the choice there should have been Albers with the way he induces groundballs...I just don't get it...at all.
