I jusr have thia weird feeling the brewers will pitch the back of the bullpen scrubs and lose this game and the cubs will blow up late and come back and win like 10-9.

Perfect ending to a crazy regular season...

This does not look like the Ray Black we saw last time. Seems like different guys all together.

The last non-Bonds, non-Coors NLer was in 1948. The AL had a winner in 1948 as well.

In the AL, there have been a bunch of other winners too, who can get them:

1948 Williams

1957 Williams

1966 F Robinson

1967 Yaz

1979 not HOFer, won MVP oops he won a different MVP though

1980 Brett

2009 Mauer

2013 Cabrera

Black > good?

I got made fun of for giving him props the other night before he blew it. Now he pitches great when I’m downing him. I can’t get this guy right!

Here is a tough one. With the close of the decade, who led the majors in hits for the 2010-2019 years combined? Total will be ~1695 hits?

2000s hit leader = Ichiro 2030 H

1990s hit leader = Mark Grace 1754 H

1980s hit leader = Yount 1731 H

Nailed it.

The 1948 NLer was Stan the Man who basically led the league in everything besides HR which he trailed by 1.

Scott Stapp is a hit making machine so I'll go with him.

My next guess was Altuve but it looks like he is about 100 short.

Just looked it up & my guess, Markakis, is number two.

I know the team isn't thinking like this. But last night's events have me pretty much resigned to losing the wild card game. That kind of emotional ride made me feel like the season is already over.

If Cain and Braun are out, I kinda agree. This just isn’t a very good lineup as is.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
