This defense has been pretty incredible in short yardage.

 

Kinda shocked at how agile Mercedes Lewis looks like after dropping a bunch of weight heading into this season.

 

I was shocked he was back at all. He said some not so great things about Aaron Rodgers in the offseason and being he isn't some roster necessity I thought for sure that would be his ticket out of town.

Yeah, he towed the line enough though. Didn't he say something McCarthy called in a play and Rodgers just ignored it and threw a 40 yard completion.

He really struggled to get open, but if it hit his hands, he wasn't dropping it. Graham showed a little life last week and....we're back.

Maybe, it'd certainly help, but the fact that the Packers keep making them settle for FG's just might allow them to win without it. Rodgers needs to give his guys a chance here. What happened to that back shoulder? He's got at least some chemistry with Kumerow.

 

And they can stop asking about Allison, it was obvious he was not coming back.

Do the Lions always purposefully kick short? If not, doesn't look great for Shepherd that they want to intentionally put it in his hands.

I can’t believe all the love Stanford gets for his ‘success’ against the Packers. Sure, he’s won 4 in a row, but Rodgers had a broken collarbone in two of those games and was knocked out of a third. Rodgers is 13-5 against the Lions in his career and was knocked out of two losses early (2010 and 2018).

That's alright, we didn't need to let the ball bounce another 10-12 yards there. Make sure you get it as soon as possible as it's rolling toward the endzone.

Based on his reaction, it seemed like he just didn't know where he was on the field. He's a rookie, probably amped up. Dumb play though.

This game is proving that WR talent is not interchangeable. The Packers' WRs look like UDFA's, while Golladay looks like the best player on the field when the Lions are on offense.

I thought it was a off-side watching it live, but that tackle started moving a split second before Smith took off when I went back....I think. It was real close.

 

They've got plenty of time. Just need to keep attacking with the run. They've played these last few series like there was only 5 minutes left. Just get the running game going again and set up the play action.
