Big win, not so much in playoff seeding but it meant a lot to the Titans and we crushed them. Feeling just fine about Bears next week but we did give ourselves a back in plan for the bye which doesn't hurt.

Also i proved we can play with the big boys and not just beat up on weaklings.

Not really. The Saints and Seahawks both winning could drop us all the way to #3. We should absolutely assume we need to beat the Bears next week.

That's why I called it "back in", remember the last day of MLB season for Brewers? :)

The Saints cannot finish ahead of the Packers. If they win and the Packers lose next weekend, the Packers hold the tiebreaker based in them beating the Saints back in September. The lowest the Packers can finish is #2.

Gutekunst's draft picks in Rounds 1-2 in his tenure...

Jaire Alexander - lockdown pro bowl corner

Josh Jackson - yeesh, but he's still a rotation corner

Gary - developing OLB that still oozes potential

Savage - emerging star at safety

Jenkins - pro bowl OL

Love - ?

Dillon - tonight shows what he could be when given consistent opportunities

That's pretty solid work, IMO - the Love pick may still dictate his overall success/failure as a draftnik, but he's hit much more than he's missed thus far at selecting guys who make a difference early on in their careers in the early rounds.

I think they can. If there is a 3-way tie, wouldn't the Saints have the edge? If GB, Seattle, and NO are all 12-4...I think we could fall to the 3rd seed. And I think the Saints would get the #1 seed based on Conf record(but I'm not sure on that).

Nope, if it's a three-way tie head-to-head doesn't factor in, Saints would be the #1 seed, Seahawks #2 and Packers #3 in that scenario.

Wow, if that's the case ... yuck!

I was hoping that next week's game wouldn't matter a whole heck of a lot, but it appears that it's going to have to be all hands on deck. Unfortunately it appears that all the NFC games that matter in the playoffs standings are being played in the 3:25 window, so the Packers won't know what they need to do beforehand.

This was before today:

Green Bay clinches the first-round bye with:

1. GB win + SEA loss or tie OR

2. GB tie + NO loss or tie + SEA loss or tie, as long as both NO and SEA don't tie

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

All GB has to do is win next week. That's it.

1. Just win or tie is enough.

2. If we lose, Seattle must lose

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

They purposely schedule all the games that depend on each other at the same time so one team doesn't get an advantage of sitting players based on the result of an earlier game.

Never expected this defense would be great, just hoped they would develop into being good enough to win the chip. Still not convinced, but they MAY be good enough. Gary and Savage coming on strong has been the difference.

Starting to show shades of the opportunism that has put us over the top in the past.

First 8 weeks: 4 turnovers.

Last 8 weeks: 12 turnovers.

That's the best games I've seen from GB in years. What a dominant defensive performance.

It was about 2 or 3 weeks ago that the secondary started to really tackle well. Not just not missing tackles, but coming up and hitting guys, guys really flying to the ball.

This defense is still a bit flawed, but it's easily talented enough with this offense to beat anyone.

Final predictions?

I'm gonna go with 46 and 47...just missing out. But it'd be a damn nice time for him to replicate his 2013 first-half performance and get to 50 vs the Bears(securing both the #1 seed, the Bye, and the MVP).

I'm more concerned about Covid derailing the Packers charge to the SB than the Bears, #1 seed, or anything else.

But it would be so Wisconsin sports (football in particular) of the Packers to lose a game like the one coming up. I'm now actually a little nervous about this game.

Man did Dillon impress me last night. I found myself on short yardage plays and down the stretch saying, just give it to Dillon! He showed some awesome power today and some good cutting too. He could be a serious weapon down the stretch, especially in the cold weather at Lambeau.
