The Colts could have kicked a FG near the end of the second quarter, but went for it on 4th and goal from the 4. I like the shift to aggressive play, but sometimes you just gotta take the points.

Yikes. With a missed FG. I missed most of 1st half. 6pts=win in a 3pt loss.

the fact that the Bills went 96 yards after the Colts went for it on 4th proves they were correct to go for it on 4th down.

Reich knew they had to score TDs

giving away timeouts on the other hand...

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

I also never really buy in the whole "they lost by 3 and didn't take 3 earlier in the game" exercise. The flow of the game changes based on every call.

The Seahawks stink. I hope they win.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I would argue you save the aggressiveness until you have a better understanding if it is warranted. The Bills didn't put up 50, those FG's add up in a close game. To be fair I don't really know how good the Colts are in the red zone, if 4th and goal at the 4 is as high percentage as it is for us maybe I can see it.

Rams up by 10..

The Seahawks gig is blowing for most of a game and then making it exciting in the end, so I don't count them out here.

I don't really want to play Wilson, though I think it's mostly just stigma with Seattle. But the Rams might be the biggest matchup problem in the NFC for the Packers.

Not with Goff looking like he does now but the defense looks steller

Typically when Packers juggernaut teams lose it's because their offense is slowed down. This defense is good enough to do that. The other team's quarterback doesn't really matter that much. Green Bay's defense, which has rounded out nicely over the last 7 weeks or so, is capable of looking really bad. Goff has enough talent to have a good game against the Packers.

I consider the Packers a pretty decent favorite over any team in the NFC. My preference is that they don't have to play Tampa or LA, the two superior defensive teams.

I still think they'll beat either one.

I don't disagree I would still rather play the Rams than Tampa though. Plus the Seahawks are right behind the Vikes as a team that I just can't root for, at least as long as Carroll is there.

Rough order of NFC teams I’d prefer the Packers not face:

1) Saints - so many weapons

2) Buccaneers - Brady + ‘punch in the mouth D’

3) Rams - ‘punch in the mouth D’

4) Seahawks - not that scary, but they get lucky

5) Bears or WFT

Aaron Donald heading to the locker room. Potentially huge.

If he can't play next week, I might want LA then. Goff can't throw, but maybe a week will help.

I’d really like the Packers to get Saturday game next week so they could get an extra day of rest before the NFC Championship (assuming they win). I think the NFL is more likely to put the Packers in the Saturday Divisional game if their opponent wins today. I’m surprised the NFL doesn’t put the NFC’s divisional games on one day and the AFC’s two games on the other day,

I know the Rams have a great D but that Seattle O Line is garbage.

As is tradition. It is comforting to know, even in these chaotic times, that some things will always be the same.
