RE: Free medium sodas for Giants season ticket holders

I get how it lends itself to easy jokes, but a free soda is a free soda. We’re talking about the biggest sport in the US in the biggest market in the US. They don’t have to do anything for the money train to keep rolling.

To call it fan appreciation, it's almost better to do nothing than to give out "one free medium soda" to people who are routinely spending 300 - 400 or more per game on tickets, parking, food, merchandise, and etc.

Ah. I see that now. This is a very different crowd than the one I run with.

I won two tickers to a Brewers-Braves game next season attending Fan Appreciation Day. Granted it was a scratch off card, but if the smallest market in baseball is willing to give away game tickets, I think a New York market can as well.

(Looking forward to seeing MVPina play.)

Yeah, at least make it a 'drink ticket' so it would include what I can only assume are $19/a piece beers in the 'give away'. As it is, it's basically "Here's the free Pepsi for your kid. The rest of your drink order is $97 dollars...."

I have no idea what they ended up doing but the Giants did say that the sodas were only a part of their Fan Appreciation Day.

It’s garbage dates that don’t sell out and a game you were almost surely never even going to consider buying tickets for anyway (maybe some did…but nearly everyone probably didn’t). It’s not appreciation, it is just trying to get people to attend in the stadium and spend money on April/May weekday games.

10-0 Lions over the Cardinals. Just sayin'.

17-bagel now

Hopefully people will pump the breaks on Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury for a while.

Be the team peaking late in the season, not the one that just STARTS red hot….

I figured a Bucs loss would be fantastic because it would guarantee us still getting the 1 over the Bucs and Cards if we lose one more game.

Then I remembered the stupid Cowboys.

The cowboys defense and Parsons in particular could ruin someone's playoffs.

The Packers were in control of their spot but this game has big consequences. I believe it moves Dallas up to #2 now with Arizona also losing today. Arizona goes from #1 to #5 in the span of a week with a Rams victory.

If the season ended today it sets up a potential McCarthy-Rodgers NFCCG

Saints are pounding Brady tonight. Hopefully there’s a blueprint there for how to beat them in January…

Saints have owned TB in the regular season with Brady....looking like they will be soon 4-0.

The blueprint is pretty much have Godwin, Evans, and Fournette leave injured, have Antonio brown forge a covid card, and have a front 4 wreak havoc all night.

Saints were shutting Brady and company down early this game before all those guys got hurt, but they would be losing right now if not for those issues. Saints' offense is a nonfactor, too.
