There is also something to be said after a year of no baseball for these guys letting them enjoy some sustained success. Waiting until the draft if that's what they are doing is a nice balance in case they struggle a bit after the promotion.

Hayden Cantrelle, SS (No. 16), High-A Wisconsin

Both Mitchell and Cantrelle had banner nights for Wisconsin in their 16-6 rout of Beloit. Mitchell, the Brewers’ No. 1 prospect, drove in a season-high six runs on a 4-for-6 night at the plate that included two home runs (his first multihomer game) and two singles. After crushing a two-run shot as part of a four-run first, Mitchell singled to lead off the fourth inning for Wisconsin and eventually came around to smack a grand slam nine batters later as part of an eight-run inning. After a career night, Mitchell is being rewarded with a promotion to Double-A.

 

Cantrelle, a 2020 fifth-rounder, also had his first career multihomer game, going yard in the first and the third and singling in two in the ninth to drive in a season-high five runs. Cantrelle finished the night going 3-for-6 at the plate.

 

Warren did it all at the plate on Sunday, crushing his ninth home run of the year, doubling, drawing three walks and scoring three runs in Carolina’s 11-4 victory. The 92nd overall pick in the 2020 Draft, Warren has been an on-base machine this season, boasting a .416 OBP with 25 walks through 31 games thus far. The 22-year-old extended his hit streak to four games and has reached base safely in 16 straight games. Brewers prospect stats »

I know this is the Garrett Mitchell thread but the power that Warren is showing is such a pleasant surprise. To see Warren and Mitchell's college OBP skills translate to the lower minors is a good start.

I wonder how many 2020 draft picks are in Double A? Mitchell is on track to be a top ten prospect in all of baseball. Premium position, premium athlete, performing. He's a no-touch from a trade standpoint in the rental market and probably not at all, short of a major talent with considerable control coming back.

I was so pumped and looking forward to seeing Mitchell in person. Had tickets for the Rattlers game June 25th, it got rained out. I told my wife and boys, by the time we can make it up to another game he will be promoted to AA. Sure enough, lol. Oh well. Bummed we missed him, but he sure deserved that promotion. At least Joe Gray Jr got promoted to Wisconsin. Looking forward to seeing him later this summer when he cash in our tickets for a different game.

Stop it unless you plan on posting daily updates once he gets above .250

Yeah not sure what you’re trying to do here but Mitchell dominated high-A and he’s just now getting started in AA. Not concerned one bit.

Most players face an adjustment period when moved up. Not an ounce worried.

Daily/weekly updates on top prospects would be nice. Is there any where on brewer fan that I could see this?

 

Link report always includes a link to all the day's box scores with updated player averages.

 

https://www.brewcrewball.com/ also does a daily summary of only the top 30 (or so) Brewer prospects.

Copying this from the Friday August 13th Link Report:

 

Garrett Mitchell (link to game logs) missed the last week of July with what was reported as a non-Covid illness.

 

He returned to play in four of the next five games.

 

But now he's been out another full week, having last played on Friday August 6th.

 

Mitchell has played 49 games this year.
