2021-05-16: Braves (Ynoa) at Brewers (Peralta) [Brewers win, 10-9 -- Offense scores season high 10 runs; Peralta is fantastic, but bullpen & defense give up 9 runs late]

Just what the Brewers need to face: a good pitcher who hits better than the Brewers hitters.

Another day that Brewers pitchers have to approach as “Shutout or Bust”

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I'm going to force myself not to tune in today.

So, either Freddy will throw a no-hitter, or the offense will explode for 5+ runs.

Or, Freddy throws a no-hitter for 9 innings, and gets a no decision because we don't score any runs for him.

Nice first inning for Freddy.

We had a grand total of 3 hits yesterday, 2 from one player that went 2-2. Guess who’s not in the lineup today?

Well two hits in the 1st inning is nice. Would’ve been even better if they finished the inning with something to show for it.

Brewers offense has stranded 4 runners through 2 innings. It feels like they’re getting closer to scoring.

Well from on the verge of making it three straight innings of stranding a pair of runners to knocking two in. That’s progress!

Both of Narvaez’s hits today have been 77.7-mph with almost the exact same launch angles (16 and 18 degrees).

Per McCalvy, Vogelbach’s two RBI double broke an 0-for-18 streak for the Brewers with RISP.

Bradley silencing the critics……at least on the defensive side of the ball……..another great play.

He is?

I don't think critics ever doubted his defensive ability.

Narvaez is a stud!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Narvaez’s bat continues to be the most pleasant surprise on the offensive side this year (and yes I know there aren’t many to choose from).

Sure is nice having Narvaez back from injury. He is 100% proving his doubters wrong this season. This is the hitter we thought we were getting, along with the added bonus of substantially improved defense.

Narvaez is a stud for sure. It's so frustrating that we can't get a healthy Narvaez+Yelich+ the Hiura we thought we had on the field at the same time. We'd be such a better team.

Omar Narvaez’s wRC+ is now up to 167. The next closest Brewers hitter is Avisail Garcia with a 102 wRC+.
