Just saw this halftime score for NCAAW:

Notre Dame 60

Oklahoma 25

Just WOW! I didn't see any of the game, but the highlights showing on ESPN are just 3-pointer after 3-pointer by the Lady Irish.  And believably a win% of 99.9% with a half to go.

one of the bigger issues with the woman's game is the disparity. For example South Carolina played Howard in the 1st round and outscored them 22-2 in each of the first 2 quarters. Its the same teams year after year. and yes, football is just as bad. It what makes the men's tournament so great.

Anybody happen to know what the pretourney odds were on St. Peters making it to the elite 8?

I couldn’t tell you for sure, but I’d have to imagine it was close to 1000-to-1.

(Well, I was wrong, since I found an article saying someone will win $800k if they win the national title on a BetMGM wager at 200-to-1 odds.)

Unless St Petes pulls of the miracle it's going to be a woofer of a final 4 for me.

The transfer portal has tilted the table even more to the blue bloods

The clock is about to strike midnight for Cinderella. Go Heels!

Turning back into a pumpkin. This might be an epic beatdown for an elite 8 game.

It did not help that St. Peter's just couldn't hit a bucket early in the game, despite some very good looks.  The ball just didn't go in the hole, and UNC ran with it.  By the time the Peacocks were able to finally start scoring more regularly, it was far too late.

Their defense is still very good, but North Carolina has hit its stride and has been red-hot.

So after all the unpredictability and talk of a wide open field, we're going to have a #1, two 2's and an underseeded 8 in the Final Four. I guess no matter what the circumstances, the cream always rises to the top.

The final 4 went from this could be fun to, blah I don't think ill watch it.

That is unbelievable to have such a low to 1 odds.  First 15seed to make Elite 8.  This bet was to win the National Title? Marquette should have had higher odds than 200-1.  2500-4500-1 would seem more appropriate for a 15seed. And I still wouldn't put a dollar down.

I wonder if the bet was made after the start of the tourny.  No way they were 200-1 in the round of 64.

Edit: Just found a few sites that had pre-tourny odds to make the Final Four.  St. Pete's wasn't even listed.  The lowest listed were +5000, and both Iowa State and Miami were at that.

I have to laugh because my bracket was beyond hope after opening weekend, but since I was the only one in my group with Kansas going all the way, I ended winning the whole thing.
