RHP Matt Hardy comes in for his first appearance of the season. In fact, it’s his first-ever action in AAA ball. Congrats to him. 12-2 Sounds in the 9th inning.

I believe Israel Puello is going to want to forget tonight. From the get go, it wasn't good. 2 ip and 7 earned runs on 8 hits and a free pass. Back to the proverbial drawing board. Yikes.

Its 3-3 Biloxi in the bottom of the 8th. They've led, and lost, every game in this series.

AND, OH BABYYYYYYYY,

Garrett Mitchell rockets a first pitch line drive rocket over deep Center and it's 6-3 folks! Beautiful swing. And he crushed it.

Holy cow! That’s a first pitch, two-out, 9th inning, 3-run homer for Garrett Mitchell to center field to put the Shuckers in front 6-3. Don’t sleep on Mitchell!!

Freddy Zamora also smacked his 3rd hit of the evening, with one down, on a beautiful opposite field rocket literally dancing down the first base line over the bag at first. Gabe Holt followed with an infield single to deep short stop - third base side - as the entire infield was playing pull.

To the bottom of the ninth we go...

Oh man, this series literally can not see a game decided by more than one run. LOL. Arnaldo Hernandez gives up a 2-run deep shot to Neslony to right field and it's 6-5. The next batter grounds out. Biloxi wins! Hey Now! For those of you counting at home: that's four straight 1-run decisions. Biloxi now 1-3 on the six game series.

Boy, that's a really nice outing by Victor Castaneda. 5 ip, 7 k,  4 hits, 1 bb, and 1 ER. He's having a very nice start to his season.

Hate to see that outing from Puello, but other than that some nice things in the box scores. Getting Mitchell and Turang going along with the strong early seasons from Wiemer, Frelick, Quero, Small (except the walks), Valerio and Black really only leaves Perez and Zamora from the top couple tiers of prospects scuffling, and even Zamora had a three-hit night tonight.
