Wisconsin has lost 4 in a row at Great Lakes, with their last win coming in LHP Antoine Kelly's last start on Tuesday. Lo and behold, Kelly (3.20 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 11.9 K/9 in 59 innings) is starting again today, which bodes well for a victory to salvage a 4-2 series loss. DH/2B Tyler Black reached base 4 times yesterday to boost his June OPS to .850:

AA Biloxi has won 4 in a row in Chattanooga and has LHP Brandon Knarr (2.27 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 10.2 K/9 in 67 1/3 innings) starting tonight as they strive for a 5-1 series win. 1B Thomas Dillard has reached base in 19 straight games:

LHP Ethan Small will try to shake off 3 rough starts in order to lead Nashville to victory in Memphis, which would deliver a 4-2 series win. DH/1B Tyler White continues his recent resurgence (.919 OPS in June) and now leads the Sounds with 31 RBIs:

Wes Clarke (3-5, 2B), Arbert Cipion (2-4,  3B), Joey Wiemer (2-3), Pedro Severino (1-2, HR) and Garrett Whitley (1-2, 2B) providing the only early “pop” (I like what you did there @Mass Haas) among Brewers farmhands thus far.

After Wisconsin left a dozen men on base to lose their series finale 3-2, Biloxi was threatening to lose on a walk-off.

However, Joey Wiemer threw out the potential game-winning run at home (his 9th assist of the year) to send the game into extra innings, tied 5-5.

The Mudcats seek a 4th straight win in Columbia to claim this week's series 4-2. RHP Stiven Cruz (4.44 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 11.6 K/9 in 26 1/3 innings) will make his 7th start of the season. CF Jackson Chourio (1.015 OPS in 172 plate appearances) continues to rock offensively:

Unfortunately, Biloxi joined Wisconsin in losing a 1-run affair.

Nashville is also down 6-5 in the 8th inning, but Memphis might blow it open (bases loaded, nobody out). The teams have combined for 21 hits, but no homers.

At least Carolina has jumped out to a 5-0 second inning lead, with recent returnee Jean Carmona smacking a 2-run homer to open the scoring.

OF David Dahl had a solid game, with a 2-out, RBI double in the 5th inning tying the game 3-3, sacrifice fly in the 7th inning tying it again 4-4 and a solo homer in the 9th inning clawing Nashville back to within 7-6. But that's how it ended.

That's 3 losses by a grand total of 3 runs thus far today. C'mon Mudcats, salvage the day!
