No thread discussing Huira getting optioned?

I suggested he had been a decent pre-Wong regular 2d baseman. Someone else said he was "never" decent. Wattevah; I dunno

But I don't understand how you can keep treating this hard-working do-anything guy like a fleeping yo-yo when he's been as good at the plate lately as just about anyone else.

Meanwhile, don't we have 3 catchers? bughghghhgh

Ump had some iffy calls in the later innings though on both sides.

Miranda friggin’ crushed that ball.

A split is a pretty reasonable outcome for both teams. They’re pretty equally matched.

True, but not satisfying. ?

Yes! But also guys who want to hit and not play ump.

It should be pretty satisfactory to split the Twins on the road when the Minnesota offense went against Alexander and Ashbury. On any given night, that offense can drop eight against really good starters.

To split without using Burnes or Woodruff is an accomplishment.

When you put it THAT way..... still a bit disappointing tho'.

Maybe we should merge teams and play half the home games in Milwaukee and half in Minneapolis. At least we’d be able to claim a World Series victory in the combined franchise’s history.

Or split the difference & play all home games at The Dells.

Yep, two decent teams in bad divisions. The Twins can mash, the Brewers can pitch (particularly if Peralta comes back healthy). Both teams are flawed in significant ways.

The Brewers are second in the National League in home runs (having nine more than Minnesota), and ninth in the Majors in OPS. They're not exactly the '82 Cardinals.

Somebody needs to give Josh Hader a hug.

The way the Twins get their runs is vastly superior to the Brewers. The Twins have batted the likes of Gary Sanchez ninth in the order because their rookies are mashing. We just witnessed a 24 year old walk off the Brewers while OPSing about .900 over the past month.

The WAY they get their runs. That's a key phrase that I totally agree with.

Buxton would fit right into the Brewers lineup.

He would. All or nothing. The Brewers need a Luis Arraez - even a poor man’s version - badly. Even a guy that gets on base 35% of the time and hits .280 would change this lineup quite a bit.

So, you're saying a guy like Andrew Benintendi or Josh Bell? :)
