Even if the Brewers are out of it I think they should trade Frelick.  I just don't see Frelick being anything more than a .280/.370/.400 hitter in MLB.  He just doesn't have the power to be anything more than that.  If somehow the Brewers could trick the White Sox in giving up Robert for a Frelick plus deal I am agreeing before the White Sox can rethink the trade.

A 280/.370/.400 line is an above average hitter.  I's just not sure Frelick does that since that ISO of .120 is better than he has done.  With less power he's more of a .280/.320/.370 hitter which is not more than  4/5 OFer.

I don't care about not hitting HR's, if Frelick can get on base hitting 280 , I'll take it ! Just get me a few guys who can get on base !

It is not just home runs but doubles are probably going to be rare also.  Frelick is probably just a singles hitter.  Kind of reminds me of a better version of Juan Pierre or Podsednik.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and I can absolutely see MLB outcomes for Frelick in line with the Podsedniks of the world, but Frelick hit 11 HRs last season. Podsednik had one season with 10+ HRs in the big leagues and only one season with a 100+ wRC+. I, too, believe Frelick isn't destined to hit 30 bombs, but I wouldn't at all be surprised to see him hit 20+ for 3 or 4 seasons, especially with AmFam's RF porch.

That and he isn't going to be singles only, he's hit his fair share of doubles and triples and showed a unique ability to make solid, repeated contact last season (albeit that hadn't quite translated to start this year)

I think of Frelick more as a ceiling like Johnny Damon and a floor of Podsednik. I wouldnt rush to trade him but if there was a big bat that took him I would be ok with it.

1B Alfonso Rivas SDP  .320/.444/552 8 hr 7 sb

1B Luken Baker Stl  .313/.437/654 20hr

OF Estevian Florial NYY .288/.379/.597 19 HR 13 SB

3B/1B Bobby Dalbac .296/414/.638 18 hr 9 sb

1B Jared Young ChiC .326/.426/.605 13 hr.

Obviously some guys are less blocked or on bad teams. There are also a bunch of AAAA type players that wouldn't be great options.

I like Dominic Canzone from Arizona and Luken Baker from Stl a ton if we could get them at reasonable prices.  Both are great bats not to old (Canzone 25 and Baker 26). Baker is likely more of a DH and Canzone a LF/4th OF who could play some 1B.
