i was trying to stay optimistic about keeping one of our pitchers…….but how much will Woody (or heaven forbid Burnes) want after the money we’ve seen thrown around this offseason?

hard to imagine a reasonable 5 year deal for either……..and you can’t blame them.

Yeah, with the way this market has been trending, I thought Rodon was going to get over $200 million.

Also, it's really important that he didn't end up with the Cardinals as they were rumored to be showing interest. Our advantage in starting pitching is what gives us a shot in the division despite the Cards having Arenado and Goldschmidt.

Yeah, this is about what I expected Rodon to get before the offseason started. Out of the higher profile FAs, Rodon and Contreras are the only players who actually signed for about the price I expected them to sign for going in.

Go Yankees!  As long as it wasn't the Cardinals, I don't care where he landed!  Even better that it is the AL!

To the point how much value Burnes and Woodruff must have? I'm thinking Woodruff at 32-35mil per and Burnes at 40+Mil per at the moment.  Only thing holding Woodruff back on 40Mil is a season over 200IP.  He's got 2 to make it happen.

Glad to see Rodon  in AL East. See how long his health holds up as well as pitching home games in a hitters park.

Yes i don't like the Yanks getting him really stinks. But man i hope Arnold gets a ton for Woody and Corbin.

I could see this type of contract for Woody… But Corbin is for sure getting $200M+.

We should sign Woodruff to a similar contract right now… I just have this feeling we lock up one of ours Aces, Brandon is most likely.
