Slow loads

Posted
I have a fast DSL connection and I've been experiencing very slow load times whenever I try to go into the message board, forums, or try to view any threads for the past 2 days. The main page is loading fine, and I'm not experiencing any problems with other sites. Just me, coincidence, temporary, or problem?

Tengo conexión por línea conmutada y no he tenido ningunos problemas excepcionales.

[i have dial-up and I haven't had any unusual problems.]

EDIT:

It was pointed out to me that 'problemas' is masculine. I couldn't let that go by. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

mi padre me compro un vestido deseta.

Not sure how it applies here (or if it is even close to the correct spelling), but it's the only spanish I know.

I figured it wasn't just me, because it's only the board, and it's only very recently. Thanks for the responses. I'll wait it out.

Just a thought... is it possible that greeg35, heresrobin, and brewerjamie15 have the same provider and that the problem's on that end?

What I've been getting on the forums is normal for me: a generally excellent response with the occasional, but periodic burp.

greeg35, I assume your father bought you a suit and not a dress. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I have no clue what deseta means.

I asked a friend to teach me the most useless spanish phrase he could think of, so it acually was a dress.....a dress of silk (deseta?).

SBCYahoo DSL for me---maybe they're trying to convince me to upgrade http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif .

I have very slow loads at work (Neenah), but everything works fine at home. (waupun) It has been going on since about last Wednesday.

greeg, you're close.

Silk = seda.

(Vestido, depending on context, means either dress or suit.)

¡Puedo hablar y comprender bastante español para sobrevivir, pero si una palabra está deletreando incorrectamente, estoy desorientado!

[i can speak and understand enough Spanish to get by, but when a word's spelled wrong, I'm lost!]

"vestido de seda" because "de" is of and "seda" is silk. You would pronounce it correctly as it's spelled out, though.

Well, that's a relief. Now I know I that when I am lost in Mexico I can rely on that correctly pronounced phrase to pull me through.

You might also find a date in one of the Acapulco bars. You probably wouldn't approve of him, though. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
