Al and Dungy can never do another game as far as I'm concerned

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

So are 31 general managers blithering idiots or is Purdy the product of great coaching and talent around him?

He could have the greatest coaching and talent around…what he has done is still impressive for a rookie that was essentially undrafted. Certainly, he benefits from being plopped into a golden situation with a ton of talent to help him out. You still gotta perform and makes plays.

I suppose the question becomes, how will he fair as teams get more film on him…and is he actually a pro bowl level QB or is he more like the guy he came in for. He certainly seems like a legitimate starter.

I remember hearing a story about Purdy before he was the starter that he would decline to participate in team poker games on flights so that he could study the playbook.  Took his preparation incredibly seriously so that when he got the opportunity he was in position to succeed.

Really hoping for that NYG win over the Vikings today, and then for TB to win on Monday night.

That would send NYG to PHI and set up The Old Man vs Purdy in the other game.

If Brock knocks off Brady, the NFL myth makers will be kicking it into overdrive.

Jeez...that drop keeps the game from ending

He was still 8-9 yards short of the first down marker where he dropped the pass.  I don't know that he would have made the first down.

He absolutely would have...Peterson was not going to catch him

Lol at a 3 yard out on 4th and 8

I rewound it and watched it again - Peterson wouldn't have gotten him but there were other defenders who likely would have.

Kudos to the Giants...I thought they were the one team in the nfc playoff field the Vikings could beat but should have won their regular season game against them in mpls.  Gotta feel really good winning this one

Eh, it would have either been 4th and short with a great open field tackle by a corner peeling off coverage or a 1st down.
