Luke Adams hit a 2-run HR in the 1st inning for Carolina. Curse Down East for not having a broadcast.

He hit another ding dong in the following game. What a series close for Carolina who move to 8-6 on the season.

RHP Ryan Middendorf is back to doing what he does: scoreless inning with punch outs in the bag. That's two more scoreless frames and 3 K. His second outing in a row we've come to expect after a couple hiccups to begin his campaign.

The Sounds had tied it up at 2 apiece in the top of the 8th. AND, RHP Cam Robinson gave that run right back - he continues what has been an up-and-down struggle at Triple-A since his call up late last summer. Sounds now trail 3-2 with the top of the 9th to try and tie it up or take the lead.

And Mr. Chourrrrrrrrio just ripped a three-run double and the Shuckers now lead 7-3. Take that Brewers bullpen! Let the healing commence!

Chourio just turned on a 99 mph Ben Joyce FB and ripped a bases clearing double to the LF corner. Huge insurance runs. Biloxi up 7-3 in the top of the 9th now.

It nice to see some guys getting up to it in their respective leagues

We've had intriguing pitching highlights throughout the early going. The bats have been slow to get going in any consistent manner but there have definitely been some sparks. Hopefully, this is just the start of some consistency at the dish.

This has been a rough  3-to-4 game stretch for INF Robert Moore in Quad City. He's actually looked quite rushed and a undisciplined at the plate which is something I'm not used to seeing - herky-jerky swings and his head leaving the hitting plane. He had a fantastic start to his season but it's worth noting: 1-for-15 over his last 4 games, 10 K, 2 BB, 1 2B, 1 R. He looks off by my eyes. Let's hope he hits the cages and re-discovers that smooth switch-hitting bat we've grown to love in any line-up.
