This is going to be a real test for the Brewers bullpen.

Recently they’ve done a better job of maintaining deficits than holding leads.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I’m 90% sure we’ll win the division if we have Freddy, Corbin, and Woody healthy and effective for the stretch run.

I don’t have a lot of faith in the bullpen .    The division seems to be beyond terrible this year although

Nice inning from Elvis!

Interesting choice with the 2 LH hitters to start the 7th that it wasn't Milner.

Milner tired from yesterday probably. Surprised it wasn't Sousa. Thought the only reason he was up was to take lefty innings from Milner

I think we’ll be fine. Devin, Strzelecki (if he continues to pitch like he did yesterday), Peguero, Payamps, Wilson, is looking pretty good right now. Would like to see Small get some action soon to see if he can replace Hoby as the main lefty. Then you have Uribe in the minors and the deadline to find another late inning option.

I want Small.

This inning should take the pressure off the bullpen.

Didn't want to bring this up in a loss but at what point do we drop Winker/Voit and give Hiura a chance? I know he isn't generally liked on the board but DH is giving us nothing.

Winker has like a .360 OBP. They likely aren't going to cut the leash with him any time soon.

I think they will wait awhile……..they traded for Winker…..he has a track record of being a good hitter…..

As for Voit……when a team signs a guy as a free agent I don’t think it’s great business to give up on him super quick……even if it’s a 1 year deal at reasonable money……..you want agents and other players to believe that they are given a fair chance……for future consideration of those kind of deals.

Not exactly sure when the time is to move on……but I don’t think we are there yet……..just my opinion.

I guess but slugging under .300 is not good (being nice)
