Not a lot of speed on the basepaths right now...

Doesn't matter when you misplay a ball that badly. This Royals defense is atrocious.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Two things that can’t happen with men on 2nd & 3rd with less than two outs …

Caratini can’t pop up or strike out

He popped up

We MUST get these runs home

Old-time baseball (2022, anyway). 1:20 for three innings.

To be fair, the third inning took an hour alone.

Is there anyone on the Nashville roster worthy of taking Colin Rea’s place on the big league roster?

As a SP no. Nashville's starting rotation is not good.

Can't believe someone actually said on the game thread last night that Turang will never be a ML hitter...

I don't know how someone can take a fortysomething game career and come to that conclusion.

Yep, there’s a gap in the Brewers farm right now with pitching. No immediate rotation help coming.

If Lauer moves back into rotation …

Is there a better arm than Rea’s that could replace him in Milwaukee?

Not sure. Junk maybe? I was hoping Uribe in Biloxi but it appears the Brewers are using him in a strict one inning role.

But he should be an option at some point this season.

Pure bullpen arm wise? Plenty of arms better than Rea.
