Bad miss on the pitch by Monasterio but we shouldn't be relying on career minor leaguers to produce for us. Urías should have been the one with a base hit not the guy 18th on the depth chart.

Or anyone else for that matter.  There isn't a single player on this roster that I look at and go, "yeah, that guy needs an extension".  It is a team full or marginal talent so we get marginal results.

What a dreadful two years of mediocre baseball ⚾️ 

I hope there are no trades to try to improve this team

I would much rather trade away anyone with value & restock with top prospects for 2024 forward 

I love the Brewers - will always root for them - but this is horrid baseball for much too long

The Orioles series was the exception … this is more the standard for a few years running

Mediocre and disappointing. But you want horrid look at the As. A bad team (except against us) and their city is losing the team. 

Yeah. This team is consistently frustrating. But don't lose perspective.

It is NEVER okay to tell anyone on the board how to feel or process their frustration with this team

Milwaukee is not good … I’m a realist - that is not loss of perspective & I never suggested that they were as bad as the A’s record-wise

I’m confident that the 2023 Brew Crew is no better than the 2022 Brew Crew that missed the playoffs

And … against one of the worst teams in MLB history - they have played horrid baseball this weekend

I’m very quickly becoming indifferent to this team. This core just isn’t gonna win. Best course of action is to sell at deadline and add to the upper levels of the farm to match our current crop of pieces.

I believe keeping this team in first place or near the top of the NL Central into June makes this one of Counsell’s all-time best efforts … he should be a candidate for Manager of the Year!

I used to watch every single pitch. I just haven’t felt that connection to this team in a few years now. Maybe it was Mark A crying cheap, maybe it’s the lackluster lineup, not sure. But it’s time for a fresh roster.

I'm not saying Counsell has a great roster or anything but there definitely seems to be a lethargic passiveness about this team.  We play these "bad teams" and they play with for more energy and "want to" than the Brewers do.  Maybe just more of a "time for a shakeup" thing than anything directly related to Counsell.  I do not think he is the problem, at least not a major problem.

I think mostly a crappy offense for the last number of years leads to indifference.

It’s just not an exciting product.

Sadly, I watch far too often … that has been quite painful the past couple of years … the offense is so mediocre & the team overall has been uninspiring
