Yeah, I guess I'm not sure what year those two were drafted. I just know LaPorta was the key piece in the Sabathia trade.

I think the brewers are just trying show the packers up with their reluctance to draft a WR in the first round.  The brewers simply refuse to draft a 1b

I realize that- laporta was the most recent.  And it’s only been Prince and laporta this century 🤪

and LaPorta never panned out......for anyone.  (did get us a pretty nice pitcher in a trade though 😁)

Couldn’t almost anyone with height become a first baseman?

It's where Yelich should be once all those OF prospects get here at the same time.

(Mitchell, Wiemer, Frelick and Chourio.)  I keep thinking one of those 4 are going to get traded at some point.  I suppose one could always DH and they could just rotate them all in.

It's a good problem to have.

How long before he's DFAd?

Probably as soon as Frelick gets the call.

My long-term concern about this team is that they don't have anything they're really good at. Defense, I suppose, but I feel like you've got to be top-tier in offense, rotation, or bullpen to really compete. Maybe Woodruff helps a little with rotation, but I'm just not confident in any aspect of this team's roster game-to-game.

Yeah. It's hard to say, "We're really good at.........."

I'm with the crowd who say we need a first baseman.  Rowdy consistently fails to impress,

(And Tapia sounds like someting on the menu at a Spanish restaurant.)

Just saying ...

Honestly, first basemen rarely get drafted all that high anymore. I believe there are eight total over the last four drafts listed as first basemen who went in the first two rounds.

When did Rowdy hit his last HR?

Tilapia is a white fish I had once in FL.  It is pretty tasteless.

Bush remains a disappointment … another DFA candidate along with Winker … hopefully ASAP

Last night’s game was a “rare” enjoyable game to watch

This afternoon’s game was another wasted three hours

This team is dreadful

I’d rather watch Nashville

Yelich and Wiemer look like the Keystone Cops out there.

It's certainly not the first time our outfielders have looked like that.

We must lead all of baseball in DFA candidates.

Why is Bush on the roster?

More importantly why is he brought in in a one-run ball game.

It's like punting on 4th and one with 2 minutes to go in the game.

Offense still the clear problem, but Counsell's bullpen management today was absolutely horrific. Just dumb founding choice after dumbfounding choice

Counsell always uses his B bullpen when down runs late in the game
