So ya'all are saying that Houser and our defense need to limit the Cubs to 1-2 runs until we score 3 off of their bullpen. Got it.

That's more or less the roadmap to a win tonight, on paper. Of course we're talking baseball, so.................

We can probably expect Tyrone Taylor to rejoin the team soon, perhaps as early as this weekend. Just homered again in AAA.

I forgot about him.  Can Perkins play 1st?

The Brewers starting pitching is starting to look pretty mediocre.

Couldn’t afford to fall behind again tonight, but Houser wasn’t up to the task. A lot more innings for the bullpen to cover.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I think the 6 man rotation is doing us more harm than good.

It makes zero sense to only have a seven man bullpen when you're in the middle of 17 straight games in a row without a day off.

Thankfully they only got one run.

That’s the good news, but it’s taking Houser so many pitches to grind through these innings that he’ll be lucky if he makes it through five.

More stress on an already overworked bullpen.

At least the 4th was fairly efficient.

Still has a chance to get to 6.

While Steele is looking like he might be able to go 8.

Unlikely considering he's never gone 8 in his career. Cubs don't like to let him run up high pitch counts.
