I wish our hitting coach was as effective as our pitching coach.

Hitting coachES - we have two & they still can’t get our guys to improve

We did not miss the playoffs because of that trade. Had the same exact win % from June to July and then August to October

We were a different team after that trade.

No, we literally weren't. Same exact win % from Memorial Day to the deadline as deadline to October.

We were three games up in first, and we just lost our will. It was awful.

Monasterio with some ugly swings tonight on pitches way outside the zone.

Yeah. Not his best night. He had been giving reasonably good at bats.

Cardinals going on a run was the difference. We literally won at the same exact rate post-trade as we did pre-trade.

Wonder if Montasario could be turned into a super utility guy that could be infield or outfield.

Monasterio: .246/.352/.344

He's one of our better hitters! Let the man play!

I know they are human beings, but for gods sake, they are competitive pros competing for their very livelihood and a trade messed them up that bad? I just can’t believe that line of thinking.

I'm certainly happy long term. But we missed the playoffs because of that trade. And playoffs are the goal, are they not?

I could never be convinced that last year’s team could have won the World Series

Certainly making the playoffs is necessary to win it all but it is not my goal to only be in the playoffs

I actually dislike the new playoff system - too many mediocre teams get in

I don't care about win percentages. We looked like a team that lost before the game started. We limped away and it was terrible to see.

First there was utter disbelief. Then there was a deflation. These guys are pros and aren't supposed to be bothered by such things, but I saw it. We all saw it.

You don't care about win percentages? Winning is literally the name of the game.

The team couldn’t hit at all and looked to be on empty all year.  Can we give this narrative a rest?

That wasn't because they traded away a closer who couldn't get anyone out in July before the trade or in August and most of September after the trade.

The Brewers just weren't that good last season.
