He gave up his first hit on a tailing liner that LF Carlos D. Rodriguez made a very worthy diving attempt for. It bounced just under his glove to Chourio who was adeptly backing him up. He escapes, regardless. On to the 6th. 1-0 Shuckers.

One thing is for certain @Brewcrew82: With the run support he's getting tonight, Misiorowski will be a turnkey insertion into the Brewers pitching staff if it should happen. He's getting full on Brewers exposure.

AND, with that (96 pitches) we've likely seen the last of Mis. AND, we go to the ridiculously erratic Shuckers bullpen to likely pitch the 7th. We shall see what version we get tonight in game 1.

It appears we’re intent on stretching out Eric Lauer: 67 pitches today after throwing 52 five days ago. He touched 94mph 4x in the first inning, 2x in the second inning, 1x in the third inning. The line: 3 1/3 IP, 4 R, 6 H, 2 BB, 6 Ks.

I see this as evidence that we’ve no intention of promoting not-yet Rule 5-eligible Robert Gasser this year, similar to how we had no intention of promoting not-yet Rule 5-eligible Sal Frelick last year.

Check please!

Misiorowski's stuff is right there with Skenes as the best in the minors. Filthy.

Man, I just love me some Patrick Dorrian @damuelleThanks for sharing that grab. He's so underrated it hurts. Straight from manager Rick Sweet's mouth: he's turned heads within the organization and has put them on notice with his play in 2023.

AND Rodriguez nearly made an incredible diving catch earlier. Well, here in the 9th, he botches a running catching attempt in LF. He has to make that play to end the game. It ricochets off what appeared to be the heel of his glove. The batter is awarded a 2B? No way. Goodness. That's a catchable out. No matter, Robinson gets the weak chopper back to the mound.

Shuckers win 3-0. Yeah baby!

Lost in the Rodriguez outfield near plays and snafu was his record-setting night at the dish:

How about that? He started his night with a double to RF in the first frame.

Anyone see Lauer game?

Does he look better than earlier this year?

I can’t remember what his fastball was in early season.

I will be watching Lauer's outing after I finish the first 2/3 of my report. Will report back. He has been much better than he's been all season in his ongoing work at Nashville since his return. But, he also had set the bar so low with his earlier MLB work. His last outing was his best to date by my eyes. I'll let you know about tonight's work.

The first 3 true outcome pitcher. Strikeout, walk, hit batter

Good news is that was Uribe’s profile originally & seems the lab has helped him harness his insane stuff. Kind of funny to say but it’s tough to have such natural electric stuff. Just hope they can get him locked in over the next year!

Proud member since 2003 (geez ha I was 14 then)

Batter 1: 0-2 count and loses control high and out of the zone walk.

Picks ol' Clint Frazier off at 1B with a classic Lauer move

Batter 2: K on 3 pitches - elevated 95 mph heater to nab the out

Batter 3: K on 3 pitches. Gorgeous slider to nab the punch out.

We don't love the 0-2 walk. BUT, that was dominant.

Batter 4: walked on 4 pitches

Batter 5: 3-0 count. Works full. Line drive single to CF

Batter 6: Pitch clock violation. 1-0. Sac Bunt advances both runners

Batter 7: Sac Fly to Right CF

Batter 8: 3-2 slider (to Tyler Naquin - ie lefty) reach hit into RF. 2-1 Knights

Batter 9: 1-2 K on inside slider (there was movement in the Pen at this point - pitch count upper 30's)

Batter 10: Yay an opening strike! K on a 1-2 change-up down and in looking. First change-up of his outing

Batter 11: First pitch elevated slider knocked into right CF

Batter 12: First pitch inside heater jam shot lined into CF

Batter 13:  0-2. To 2-2 on two high and outside heaters. Pop fly to RF runners stay.

Batter 14: Single to LF on a 1-1 slider through the SS hole. Skye Bolt manning LF grass - very suspect arm - so runner takes home base. Better arm that's a close play.

Batter 15: Another lefty bat rbi on a single poke into CF - 2-2 count. Really nice slider early in the count. Not here. Too elevated.

Batter 16: 2-2 heater looking inner stripe. Runners stranded at 1B and 2B

Batter 17: 3 pitch K. Heater upper corner of zone. pitch count at 68 on scoreboard (actually 67 via Jeff Hem). Night over.

And, that, my friend is a wrap. I would say he would want two sliders back. Both resulted in rbi's and both were off lefty bats. We can work with this outing. Solid but unspectacular.
