That's a strike.

Often impossible to know what comments like this refer to unless you are following the board simultaneously with the game.

This dude has a great arm. Jeez.

He has a great arm and when the ball is in the zone good things tend to happen. Unfortunately, you never know where you're going to get a meltdown outing from Megill where he can't find the zone.

Listening on the radio, the radio guys (who very, very rarely question ball/strike calls) were puzzled how that was called a ball. They're usually pretty benign about borderline calls, preferring (presumably) to not bog down a broadcast with blathering on about bad calls. But that one they were pretty openly critical of.

He's been ok. I'd like to see him develop a cutter.

His control always scares me. When he can command his pitches he is good. When he can't he can blow leads

I agree about his control. He throws hard but straight.

My point, and maybe it’s just me, is that  I don’t always watch every pitch that closely because I might be doing something else like keeping an eye on another game, working on  a crossword, or whatever. So, when you see a comment like that it has no context.

I just stepped into the thread and the same could be said about half the comments on this page.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Just broaden your definition of impending to include a larger window. Like, the rest of the season.
