Hoerner is very good. Still, good to get a run back and the Brewers are hitting it very hard against Hendricks. There are some more run(s) coming.

I think more people are pissed about the umpiring than doom and gloom about the Brewers so far today. We are playing better today. Fact. The umpiring and angle-shooting by Hoerner has given the Cubs the lead, fact.

That said, the doom and gloom philosophy you described is lame as heck and not a fun fan to be around. It's the exact reason these threads are often not fun and completely unbearable.

This type of homerism is, however, completely in line with home plate ump D.J. Reyburn's "style."  In 27 games behind the plate this season, the home team sports a nice 18-9 win/loss record.  Yeah, this could be a coincidence but it's well known there's some umps out there that much prefer having the home crowd off their back.  Just human nature and some can't rise above it.  I'm not saying Reyburn wants the home team to win, there's probably just some unconscious bias involved.
