First game of the Fickell Era; Buffalo vs Wisconsin Week 1

Posted

This will likely be the worst badger defense in better part of a decade.

The loss of Jim Leonard is going to haunt them for a long time.

Horribly undiciplined.

Wow! That was one of the most impressive runs I've ever seen. Melucci probably should've been tackled three or four times.

I agree - incredibly impressive

We're starting to look like a ranked team now. Let's remember that this is a completely rebuilt program and it will take time to gel. Buffalo isn't exactly a cakewalk. If I were a betting man I would've taken the points on this one.

Colorado has 68 new players - all new coaches - a new offense & defense too

They won on the road against TCU - a much better team than Buffalo - that played in the national championship game last season

Wisconsin has not played well at home today against a mediocre opponent

I do believe it will take time to transition from their ground & pound offensive system

Unfortunately, the schedule gets more difficult in the coming weeks so they need to improve quickly

Colorado had the ultimate recruiting tool in Deion Sanders and have superior talent to the Badgers. I would venture to believe they will be a better team than us sooner rather than later.

I'm willing to bet that 99% of those programs were bad teams the year before and did not come out blowing the doors off their opponent first game of the year.

For all we know, Buffalo is a good team and TCU is mediocre.
