Freddy Peralta is not and will never be an ace. He is our modern Gallardo. The guy is just a tease.

He pitched much better than Burnes did.

He had a no-hitter for half the game and gave up a double on a broken bat shot in which the ball bounced over Santana's glove.

Yep, the choke job once again falls in the lap of an offense that can't score runs consistently enough...plate a few early and then seemingly do nothing for the rest of games hoping leads hold isn't going to win you playoff games.

Being among the weakest offenses in terms of power also does them no favors when they have limited guys who can leave the yard at any given point in the lineup

Get Black and Chourio up here next season. Go young. Grab two quality pieces for Burnes and hope Woody isn't Jimmy Nelson.

I don’t think Woody will ever be the same.

You’re right.  That’s why he isn’t one and wasn’t looked at being one on the team.  He was a number three starter

Plenty of people think he can carry a rotation post Burnes/Woodruff.

The choke job comes from the offense per usual

I'm not even sure we can call the offense as choking when they just aren't any good. Burnes and now Peralta have choked because they should be better.

I have to be honest, years ago I was all for trying out the defensive team that can't hit. But today I can say it is just a lot more fun to watch a team that can hit consistently even if their pitching is mediocre.

You would think the Brewer FO would realize we just don’t have the hitters and spend some $$$ the made this year and buy a couple.

Ownership is cheap so forget about spending on some offense.

The DBacks are getting a TON of BABIP luck, but they're also just putting in good PAs. No panic. That ball Pham hit could not have been place in a better spot.

They are the better team.

The dude just cannot handle adversity. never has. He's fine if he's cruising, but the minute something goes wrong, he falls apart.

Considering this organization hasn't developed a good hitter in years who's to say we won't screw those guys up.

I've long been a proponent of a healthy mix of the two and not being so dead set at building a roster based on positional versatility as such a high priority.  The Brewers have proven they can win enough regular season games with their current approach, but they've also proven that if you don't have enough offensive talent you can't win playoff games consistently enough to go on a run.

That's why Burnes needed to step his game up yesterday. Asking alot of Freddy today

How did he fall apart?  He literally shattered dudes bat and was unlucky as hell that it ended up as a double
