Exactly....there is ZERO risk to running the offense out there and taking a delay of game...until all of a sudden they snap it and get the 1st down.  Again...this isn't a minimal risk play, it's a ZERO risk play/attempt.

The other side of the coin is they could actually try and get a first down and sustain the drive.

We can't just throw the ball downfield on 3rd and 11 for something that has a chance to convert?

can they just line up and run off tackle behind Walker and Jenkins a time or two?  Is that too much to ask to lean on the weak side of the Raider D line and pick up 4-6 yards on 1st down??

Huh? That's basically what was insinuated...ALWAYS run the offense out there and if you have a good/well trained QB he takes a look at the defense and decides whether or not to snap it or take the delay of game and punt....again...nobody KNOWS that the "play" was to decidedly try to draw them offsides. It may very well be a read by the QB.

They'll get it but I don't know why they are even bothering to challenge as Jimmy G could have driven a truck through that hole that the Packers defensive line presented on 4th and 1.

I think it's because the Packers coverage unit bails out so far in soft man on those 3rd and longs that there's nobody for the first 5 yards to even try and make a tackle or get blocked.

Aikman has mentioned a few times that analytics suggest actually snapping the ball and running a play on 4th and 3 or less. LaFleur apparently hasn't gotten that memo yet.

I know we all hate Barry but we have 3 points and Love is 6/9 for 52 yards. At some point we have to throw the ball. You get the sense MLF doesn't really want to. But this is a team you can do it against.
