Well that was a much needed butt kicking they needed to lay down on someone.

Creighton at home will be a good barometer for Marquette. Providence is a tough place to play and they just weren't in the game after the 10 minute mark in the 1st. Georgetown is good, so I won't get too excited about blowing them out of the gym.

Again the offense goes absolutely silent for a long stretch.  This is going to kill this team’s chances in the tournament.  Absolutely ridiculous that this offense goes so cold at times.

That was almost a monumental choke job right there. Even Kolek was missing free throws. They really need to eliminate these cold streaks they seem to have every game.

Nice win today.

fans will focus on giving up such a big lead, but how many MU people really thought Nova was just going to get boat raced at home? A very gritty win that will help them down the stretch.

While Bucky fades, Marquette has now won 7 straight. That was a solid second half comeback vs St. John's. Noice!

Yes, it's fun being a fan of a college basketball team from Wisconsin that actually wins.

Yeah, it's strange for me. I grew up in Wisconsin but I absolutely never became a diehard fan of either Wisconsin or Marquette. BUT, being a basketball fan in general I've certainly grown to appreciate Marquette's style of play (historically and presently) quite a bit more. I want them both to do well - I have zero animosity - but if both are on I am most likely watching a Marquette match-up.

Ighodaro is someone who I think will be a good NBA player.  Someone I would hope the Bucks could trade up in the draft to get.  Possible Portis replacement if the Bucks decide to trade him in the off season.

Do we need to bring up the NCAA tournament last year?

Should be a very interesting game this weekend against UCONN.  I think the 8-game winning streak comes to an end here.  I am not sure Marquette will be able to survive their 2-minutes of can't score stretches against UCONN.

That was an ugly last five minutes.

I wasn’t expecting a Marquette win but a blowout is disappointing. I hope for a better showing next month in Milwaukee.

Yeah, the game wasn't even as close as the score indicated for the first 15 minutes or so. Marquette really needs to recruit some offensive talent. The shooting on this team leaves a lot to be desired at times. One thing that bothered me on one play is where Ighodaro had a clear path to the bucket for a slam dunk and opted to take the jumper in the paint, which he missed. It looks like UConn and Purdue are on a collision course to the Natty, but anything can happen during March Madness.

Like Purdue losing to Ohio State.

Kolek will miss tonight's Big East Tournament opener and is most likely out the entire weekend. We really need him back healthy for March Madness. That would be a huge blow not to have him and would suck for him to end his college career that way.
