Holy consecutive posts Batman!

We're not going to turn this thread into another one on Bauer, any posts that reply to that content will be removed.

How dare we discuss things that you disagree with moderator .   My goodness how dare we tread on a thread topic you do not want to hear because of your own political bias .

Oh knock it off with the lame free-speech stuff... Freedom of speech is also being free to tell people to stop posting the same stuff over and over... We're not censoring anything, as a non-moderator, I'm just saying we're tired of it. Take it to the Debate Board.

He is not working on new pitches? He still throws the fastball, slider, curve, change mix he had last year. I've seen him pitch. What I see is really big uncontrolled mechanics that lead to his walk issues. The key for him will be to find a way to make his mechanics more repeatable so that he can find the control he needs. He just doesn't throw enough strikes. Otherwise, he will continue to walk at least 3 guys per start.

And, unfortunately, the numbers do not lie. He has carried a BB% over 10% since he was in JUCO at Crowder. 19% this year. Those are numbers in the minors! Big league hitters with good eyes will just lay off his stuff and let Misio walk them.

There is no doubt the floor is an electric reliever, but he still needs to find his control in order to achieve it. And there is absolutely no need to rush. He is only 22 and will not be Rule 5 eligible until the end of the 2025 season

His velo has been somewhat down this year to begin with. And velo is not the only thing that matters. Thyago Vieira averages 98mph on his fastball and you can see how that has gone. Uribe averages 99 but his lack of control makes him unsuitable for a closer role for now.

Fear is not keeping him down. Its logic. Everyone in the farm system knows he will not do well. Why destroy the kids confidence like that? And it is also a decision of roster construction and money. You put Misio on the 40-man and he performs badly so you have to option him. Now your 40-man is effectively a 39-man. You also waste an option year, and those are key with pitchers as they adapt to the bigs and bullpen flexibility is needed. And you start the service time clock early, which means you end up losing control over Misiorowski's best years.

"He has more now than 80% of all MLB pitching. " What do you mean by this?

"Everyone in the farm system knows he will not do well."  that is not what I hear and I have actually interviewed his personal pitching tutors this season and they say the opposite completely .   They know his stuff would play right now and it did in Spring Training by the way.  What you just said is the opposite of how the Brewers see Jacob and not how every team he has pitched against this season thinks.     The velocity and even the control thing is simple .   He is working on 2 other pitches and does not have control of those extra new pitches yet.  However his pitches which he does have good command of  are as good as what Skenes throws.   So all that is nonsense.

No!

He has no control right now. 7.2 BB/9 in Double A. How do you think that plays in the Majors? Until he shows he can do at the very least least 4.5 BB/9 he has no place in a big league roster.

Otherwise, we will call him up, he will get shelled, and he'll be optioned immediately. Adding him to the 40-man before he is ready and getting him to the majors will start the service time clock early and will waste an option year.

PATIENCE.

He has plenty of control .  The numbers are jaded by him working on new pitches not because he lacks control .  They have him developing a couple counter pitches to his main 3 and those are works in progress.   His pitches work and he has great command of those 3 main pitches which in all worlds play at the MLB level .   I have been here in Biloxi this entire season watching him pitch and you all are missing out by begging the Brewers to stave off their best weapon.    Mis may not be as good as he will be in 3 years but that is the case with most 22 year old ball players.  What he does give you today is a pitcher with 3 of the best pitches in the game today .  Those 3 pitches alone would be enough and he can still work on the other 3 pitches he is developing which are hurting his BB/9 and other stats that are completely meaningless.  Blaylock was called up from AA not because the Crew really wanted him up but to show Jacob he can make it the same way and will be a Brewer probably before he is a Sounds pitcher  .      Just like Blaylock he will get called up soon.  The game last night showed they need him and are counting on this to happen this year.     They optioned V last night so they need more pitching help and we cannot talk about actual solutions without the moderator getting offended.   So we are left talking about Jacob .

White signing was questionable at best .

I do not mind the signing.  White is young and was a top 50 prospect at one time in his life recently  . What I do have a problem with is playing him at the MLB level right away.  If the Crew believe they can fix him which would have to happen to get him on the path again... They should have him in Nashville or Biloxi not out there giving up a run an inning in the Show.  This guy has been so bad this season that throwing him in there and praying he stops being terrible is madness and not going to help White fix his issues.      The signing is okay but the using him right away is the mistake.   I think they can fix White.  In a season or two they could get him back to form and probably have a starter if they are patient .   however what he is now is bad.  He is broken and his confidence is lost currently .    The Brewers have a team good enough to win the entire thing this year if they had the pitchers in tow from 2023 with this team we would be a Dodger killer this season but we do not.   The Crew have pitching issues to correct and Gasser and Jacob do not fix it  .  White really does not.

I strongly disagree.  Skenes proved you do not need to wait when you have a flame thrower with 3 pitches that play at MLB level like Jacob  .   We brought up a AA pitcher last night and this was in preparation to bring up Jacob soon too.   Just like they did with Myers before Gasser this was a move to put Misirowski in his place right before they call him up.    He is coming up.  He will be pitching in Blue in 2024 .   Be excited and stop worrying.  The numbers he is putting up in Biloxi are jaded because at AA they are trying to get him to learn new pitches which f with his numbers .   His best 3 pitches play at the MLB level all day .  What blows my mind is all you who have an opinion have not watch him pitch one time this season or last.  You probably even missed his Spring Training mound time which was dominate against MLB bats.     This guy should come up.  Putting him back down is not hard to do and it does not hurt him .  Experience at the MLB mound level is more important for a pitcher like him than anything he can learn in AA .

LOL. My friend, are you kidding? I watch 650 hours or so of Brewers Minor League baseball per season. I write reports on these games for this website. I have watched Misiorowski pitch since he entered the system. My points stand. My opinion is what it is. Disagree with it. I care not a single iota.

Instead of threatening people who may reply, why not just remove that completely unnecessary and unrelated Bauer stuff that was posted in this thread about Misiorowski?

That has also been done. This wasn't a threat, just a heads up to prevent the inevitable complaint/question about where a post went.

Well this aged badly in a short time.  YES call the man up!  There are pitchers all over the MLB right now who are young and inexperienced torching batters . Ben Brown is that proof if you ever needed it.  Misiorowski is a Skenes like pitcher with more pitches than Ben Brown has and Jacobs stuff plays hotter  than almost anyone besides Skenes and they are very similar pitchers.  Had we lost MeGill last night this is a sure thing .  Bring him up and see what he can do . It does not hurt that much to have to pull the plug and reset if it does not play out.   Misiorowski is just to good to be lurking in AA . On paper waiting sounds reasonable and all but look at the league right now .  Teams are bringing up their pitching from young ages and they are flame throwers . Mis is not different and probably the best one out of the entire young gun batch which is why is baseballs #1 prospect in the entire NL.      there is no reason to ever leave a pitcher down who is as good as Misiorowski . If he had a terrible problem to work out then yes but he is not that guy.   What Mis does right is as good as any starter in the Bigs today.  He can take his 3 learned pitches and use them to destroy teams at this level and holding him down is not a need in 2024 .  This is not 1990 and we are not talking about Charley Wild thing Sheen  from Major league. Misiorowski already has more than 95% of all pitchers currently pitching in the Bigs.  Skenes and Ben Brown showed that these guys who can hit their mark with speed and lift can make up for a lack of extra pitches by using placement of what they do well and at least one counter pitch to that heat.  Skenes showed you why.  Now Ben Brown with his two pitches showed you why we need this guy pitching up here now.  Anything he needs to learn he can learn it up here and if if goes bad(highly doubt it will)  we can always reset things and get him back down if needed .  You do not waste 103MPH . He may lose a mile per hour every season for the next couple if they over coach him now.     Lets see what he can do up here before we say we know for sure that he cannot do it.  He flamed through Spring Training batters like a blaze.  Made Gasser look like he was not as good as he was in side by side action and that is very hard to do.    Lets have it. Why wait?

Baseball was about Booze, Boobies in the stands, Chewing tobacco, big homers in big games and beating the crap out of pitchers who hit you with a ball.   If a kid threw 103 miles an hour he would never have been in farm ball and would instantly be in the running for rookie of the year day one.  If he pitched to wild he would get beat up by a batter and would learn not to pitch wild.  This coddling way is producing soft pitchers.    Let the kid play.
