Not sure where to post this, but was Vieira really worthy of being dumped? Live arm, wasn't great, I know. Or was it that he is out of options so that was the only choice?

Thyago Vieira was DFA'd because: 

1. He stunk in 22 innings this year. It wasnt just 1 bad outing. 

2. He was out of options. 

Posters on here had been pointing to Vieira the last couple of weeks as a guy who could be cut loose to free up a 40 man spot for the AAA-MLB bullpen shuttle that happens every year. 

Guy was just not good enough to justify occupying a 40 man spot all year.

Do you think Turang hits lefties better than Monasterio?  Turang is 4-18 against lefties this season for a .222 average and it was quite obvious last season that he could not get the knack against lefties.  I wish Turang could hit lefties better, BUT ... not so, so far, AND Andrew Monasterio was a very fine player (better than Turang offensively by a good margin) last season.

I switched to radio audio to get away from Tim Dillard - my word he’s annoying.

I wish our broadcast teams would avoid using the term “ace” when referring to Freddy Peralta. He may be our best or most talented pitcher, but “ace” is a severe stretch.
