The Low-A Mudcats can clinch a home series win tonight over Delmarva, with 18-year old RHP Josh Knoth (4.50 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 11.4 K/9 in 26 IP) getting the start. CF Yhoswar Garcia (.805 OPS in 145 PAs) has re-taken the Carolina League’s stolen base lead (22).

I think 10 losses in a row is enough for our AA Shuckers, n’est-ce pas? Let’s beat Pensacola at home. RHP Brett Wichrowski (4.15 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 10.4 K/9 in 30 1/3 IP) tries to stem the bleeding.

Like their brethren in Carolina, Wisconsin can clinch a home series win tonight over Fort Wayne. RHP Logan Henderson makes his second High-A start (2.2 IP, 1 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 3 Ks last outing).

AAA Nashville needs a win in Memphis to tie the series 2-2. LHP Aaron Ashby gets the chance to build on a positive last start (5 1/3 IP, 2 R, 5 H, 2 BB, 3 Ks).

Seems like frustration is starting to boil over in Biloxi. Ernesto Martinez Jr had a melt down over being called out on a close call at 1B in the 1st inning tonight. I didn't see if he was for sure safe/out, but the reaction seemed excessive even if the call was wrong.

Rivero is still in the game - into his 4th inning w 6 K scoreless. Heck of a bounceback outing if he can maintain the 4-2 lead in the ninth frame here.

This is why we hold Jesus Rivero in such regard within this hallowed Forum.

He may have the control issues spring up more than we would like, BUT, he is also capable of 4 IP, 1H, 0 BB, 7 K in a shutdown Save to maintain a tight grip on first place in a neck-and-neck first half Race. Just impeccable work tonight

In addition to the aforementioned stellar piggy backing by Rivero, Josh Knoth (5 IP | 2 ER | 5 H | 2 BB .| 5 K) picked up his first professional win.

Yophery went 2-3 with a 2B and BB.

Logan Henderson’s final line came in at four scoreless with 3 H | 0 BB | 7 K.

Dylan O’Rae singled, got beaned, stole a bag and scored two of the three Wisco runs in the 4-3 extra innings loss.

Arizona Crew wins 8-4 to pull within one game of .500 on the year.

Enniel Cortez (4 IP | 2 ER | 4 H | 1 BB | 7 K) and Anfernny Reyes (3 IP | 2 UER | 2 H | 1 BB | 3 K) handled the pitching part.

Fillio Di Turi was 1-4 with a two RBI double, Gery Holguin hit a pair of bombs and Ramon Moreno went 2-2 with a sac fly and stolen bag to account for most of the scoring.

We were so close to the Brewers 6-0 organizational Yahtzee! SO close! ACL Crew win 8-4 over the ACL Sox. Lotta beauty in the Box. Holguin keeps coming on: 2 Long balls in this one.

The only thing surprising about this is that it wasn't Biloxi that prevented us from the organizational sweep.

Seems like the Brewers have seen enough of Logan Henderson at A+ and that he’s getting promoted to AA.

Well let's celebrate with some K's from his last High-A start tonight:

That change-up was spicy!

Henderson had very good control of the at bats I watched. His FB seemed to hit 93/94. I didn’t see him above that, but may have missed it.

Knoth was composed in the couple of innings I watched. Maybe overthrowing at times and losing location. He did get a few hard hits and a few hard outs.

Ashby was much more in control. Very few ABs where he was lost. Command is not always great, and hasn’t always been, but when he locates and control enough you get those awkward swings. And I saw a few of those last night. His velocity was 92-93 mostly I believe but may have gotten myself confused watching these three young men’s performances.

Overall solid outing by the pitching.
