And 2B Jesus Made is right back atop the DSL Brewers-1 lineup a day after exiting in the 1st inning. I'm guessing he was ejected or exhibited some other behavior which caused the coach to pull him yesterday.

He K'd his first 2 times up today, but then came through with the bases loaded and 1-out, trailing 5-2 in the top of the 5th inning against DSL Cubs Red: bases clearing, game-tying triple. Woo hoo!

We're up 6-5 now in the 6th inning of this scheduled 7-inning outing.

Unfortunately they were not able to hold on and did so in classic DSL fashion.

Walk, WP, double, PB, Walk, WP, PB, WP in the inning.

7-6 loss for the DSL Brewers 1 team.

Obviously super early, but Luis Pena acquitting himself well so far for DSL Brewers One. Went 2 for 4 today with 3 steals to run his season total to 6 stolen bags in only three games.

Linbel Jimenez (19yo RHP listed at 6'5" and 198 lbs) also had a nice outing stranding a pair of inherited runners in the first inning and finishing up with 3.1 IP | 1 UER | 0 H | 1 BB | 2 K.

THAT is a top 10 classic DSL Hit right there. No doubt about it. Like a fresh beer getting un-capped.

The Low-A Mudcats have dropped 3 straight at Charleston and now turn to 18-year old RHP Josh Knoth (4.35 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 11.0 K/9 in 31 IP) to turn the tide. Offensive sparkplug LF Yhoswar Garcia (2nd in league in SBs, 3rd in AVG) returns to action after exiting Wednesday’s game in the 5th inning shortly after an HBP.

The AAA Sounds lead this week’s home series with Louisville 2-1 and one must imagine the clubhouse is buzzing after the promotion of RHP James Meeker and expected promotion of RHP Carlos F. Rodriguez by Monday.

Starting RHP Taylor Clarke is already on the 40-man MLB roster and ramping up toward being a starter (7 scoreless innings over last 2 outings, throwing 50 and 64 pitches). 1B Tyler Black is sitting after exiting yesterday’s game at the start of the 8th inning - rut roh!

DH Mike Boeve (6-for-8 yesterday) is indeed back in AA Biloxi’s lineup despite leaving yesterday’s nightcap with apparent hamstring discomfort. What a relief! RHP Brett Wichrowski (4.59 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, 10.3 K/9 in 33.1 IP) gets the ball, as the Shuckers aim for a 3-1 series lead in Montgomery.

High-A Wisconsin can also grab a 3-1 series lead at home over Quad Cities behind RHP Will Rudy (5.87 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 6.6 K/9 in 38.1 IP) tonight. 2B Dylan O’Rae’s on-base streak is now 18 games.

I think it’s worth plugging last night’s Mehring/Lobner podcast again, during which they rave over Jadher Areinamo’s defense, pronounce Werhle like “girlie” or “burly” and tell us that K.C. stands for Kyle Clemente.

Carolina has jumped out to a 3-1 lead through three.

A trio of singles from Filippo Di Turi, Cooper Pratt and Daniel Guilarte plated a run top of one.

Other two runs came top of three on solo shots from Reidy Mercado and Pratt.

Josh Knoth surrendered a run bottom of one on three singles but has settled in to put up a pair of scoreless frames since.

Mudcats have added three more runs here top of five on a Reidy Mercado bunt single (wild pitch), Filippo Di Turi walk (Mercado steal), Yophery Rodriguez triple, Cooper Pratt single sequence.

Taylor Clarke added three more scoreless frames to his ledger before surrendering a solo shot in the fourth.

Guessing he’ll come back out for the fifth with 70 pitches so far.

Gameday frozen for Biloxi. But Wichrowski gives up a hit in the 4th, then a "hit?" (error by EBJ, ugh) and men on the corners. So instead of 2 down from a GIDP, it was 2 on. Wichrowski gets a ground out (should have been out 3), for the first out and a runs scores. Then a couple more outs, and it's only 2-0

Childers 1-2-3 5th inning.

C.D. Rodriguez with a triple, and Biloxi has life, down 2-1. Boeve up and Ks looking. Wilken a fly ball to center (not too deep, he needs to hit it harder than that), but enough to score the speedy Rodriguez. Now tied 2-2, and Miller up.

After a 3-run homer chased starting RHP Will Rudy with Wisconsin trailing 4-0 in the top of the 4th inning, RHP Jake Polancic walked 3 of 5 batters faced before leaving after an injury delay.

If Polancic goes on the shelf, that’ll reduce Wisconsin to 13 healthy pitchers. Time to call up Aidan Maldonado and Yorman Galindez in my opinion. Could call up Jeferson Figueroa too, though he’s basically a coach at this point.

The Timber Rattlers trail 6-0 and have 1 hit through 4 innings. Big comeback required.

Here's a first - Biloxi outhitting and outscoring Nashville/Wisconsin combined tonight (Nash 0 R, 3 H; Wisconsin with the very Biloxi OR and only 1 H).

Mudcats up, and trying to not blow the big lead, still up 6-2. Yophery walks and gets picked off ;(

Pratt on with an error.

After missing two bombs earlier in the series, really nice to see Pratt come back in a pitcher-friendly park in Charleston for his 2nd dinger of the season. He has power in that frame - believe me. It is only a matter of time as he adjusts and learns to access it. He missed two long dongs by circumstance. Now he is rewarded. Mudcats lead 6-2 late.

Sounds trail 5-0 in the bottom of the 6th inning, but have 2 aboard (Capra infield single, Wiemer walk) with nobody out.

Collins, Clarke, Miller and Mejia can turn this game around now.

They plated 2. 5-2 game now headed to the 7th.

Wes Clarke might have a chance at the not-so-coveted Golden Sombrero if he gets another AB. Struck out for the 3rd time to end the 6th in an 0-for-3, 3 K line so far.

Errrrr, scratch that. I mistook that for the 3rd out. Derp. Owen Miller just singled to CF to score Collins (who had advanced to 3rd on a WP). 5-3 game now!

Sounds get a run and Wisconsin too. Yay! Make it 2 for the Sounds. Now make that 3!! It's only 5-3.

Biloxi - Childers get 5 in a row, then can't get an out - 3 straight singles, and Seminaris is in to try to keep it tied.

Ugh C'mon Shuckers. Whew. Deep fly ball out to keep it loaded. On to the 7th in Montgomery.

Where are you seeing a game headed to the 7th?!? LOL. I see a 2-0 game in the 4th. Montgomery has a man on 3rd.
