Argenis Aparicio with another solid start today. 5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 6 SO. I assume he's done for the day, but maybe they have him go back out for the 6th.

Handelfry Encarnacion with his first HR of his professional career today! A 3-run HR to put Brewers 1 up 3-1 in the bottom of the 5th in a 7-inning affair against the 21-10 DSL Reds.

A quick reminder that he’s the youngest guy down there. Just turned 17 a week ago, looks like they weren’t playing him until then.

Looks like he turned 17 a little over a month ago and that he had an injury of some sorts. He played 3 times in early June then didn't play again until last week.

Ah I’m old and thought it was June still…

DSL Crew Dos clinging to a 7-5 lead in the bottom of the 9th. Trying to pull off three consecutive dubs. Today they sport a not so impressive 3-for-17 with RISP but it really won't matter if they can take the dub. They will turn to 18-year-old Dominican RHP Oliver Camilo to try and shut this one down. Camilo has been quite effective in this role to date having surrendered a single earned run in 11 1/3 relief appearances so far this summer with two Saves under his belt.

With the DSL Uno victory today, they improve to 20-9 overall and maintain a 1.0 G lead over the second place DSL Orioles Orange.

The DSL Dos will try to maintain pace with the DSL Cleveland Goryl and DSL Pirates Gold (both @ 21-9 records). If Camilo can work around the one out double the Dodgers just poked to RF, the Crew Dod would move to 4.5 GB at 17-14 and winners of three straight. Miles to go to ensure this type of standing - so to speak.

Welp, there goes that dream for now. LOL. Camilo just gave up a two-out two-run jack. 7-7 game. He walked the next batter. Clearly his most challenged outing of his season. Oooof. He did get the pop out to end the threat. They head to Xtras. Let's hope they can follow the ACL Crew's lead from last night.

Camilo gave up a 2 out game tying HR to Dodgers #17 prospect Emil Morales. To extras we go.

Thankfully, the stars align in Xtras as the top of the Crew #2's order will begin the 10th inning. CF Jose Anderson will look to do some real damage leading off the frame.

I see Señor Tovar continues to be on a scorching run. What a past week or so he's had. You love to see it. 2-for-4 today with 1 BB and 1 K. He's being rewarded with more run-producing spots in the line-up to boot. Obviously, we aren't the only ones noticing his recent ascent in the batters box.

Jose Anderson really flashed the tools today.

Hit - 2 hits and a BB

Power - Double

Speed - 2 SB

Defense - 7th outfield assist of the season

Whew, I did not realize how good of a season Bitoni is having. 151 wrc+ in 200 PAs, 437 obp! Definitely fueled by a high babip but that'll happen when you hit the ball hard. Guessing he'll be with the Mudcats when the ACL seasons ends?

Would be shocking if he wasn’t.

Honestly, I'd be shocked if Bitonti isn't in Carolina some time in the next few weeks. They're going to have a big reshuffling of rosters post-draft and signings. Players will unfortunately be cut. Players will be assigned from the draft class and other players will be promoted. Bitonti is such an obvious candidate to head elsewhere given his overall season and the fact this is his second stint down in the desert.

The ACL Brewers final game is a week from now. I would bet we see Bitonti in Carolina either next weekend or a week and a half from now.

I'll go even further.

I bet I can name the exact day of the week. The exact hour. Down to the minute...

Wait a second. I was hacked.

Well, it certainly would appear rehabbing RHP Jason Woodward deserved much better than getting punted from the game in the 2nd inning after two errors from C Eric Martinez (interference and a throwing error) and a fielding error from 2B Juan Baez. He 'allowed' two unearned runs and was sent to the showers after 1 2/3 IP. ACL Crew trail 3-0. Still in the bottom of the second. Mogollon has been summoned to try and end the frame.
