No sign yet that the break helped Contreras.

He has looked terrible in both ABs, pulling off pitches and chasing a bad one.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Yeah, barring a stint on the DL he's cooked for the year, and that might not even help. Thanks, Murphy.

More noncompetitive pitches from Peralta and he’s going over 60 pitches in the third inning.

First inning is always his problem. 19 pitches might be okay.

Nope.

Thanks to the forum that’s all I think about now when he bounces sliders 3 feet in front of the plate, lol.  It’s a real issue…,

For a pitcher with an ERA of almost five Lopez is really been on the edges.

Lopez has been a mystery this year. He was elite last year and his underlying numbers aren’t much different; he’s just getting shelled every third start or so.

Ton of movement and very few fat ones.

Honestly feel like the Brewers have put together some good at bats, but he’s just throwing well enough to keep runs off the board.

When he’s on, he’s stellar. He’s just a lot like Peralta this year, he blows up too frequently.

He'd be our best starter and not by a little.

Pirates won their second straight over the Phillies and are now just 5 1/2 games out.

Sure helps when you get a guy you can trot out on the mound once a week that's almost a sure win.
