Is Martinez not balking every pitch? Have I missed something with a rule change? He literal does not come set and is deceptive towards the hitter every pitch

Balks are like traveling in the NBA these days.  Rarely gets called.

You don't need to come set if nobody is on base I guess or at least that's what I've been told tonight.

That’s annoying.  as an umpire it’s driving me nuts.

Martinez hasn't thrown more than 70 pitches since April, so hopefully he's not going to go 100 pitches tonight. If he is then he might go 8 scoreless against us because we look clueless against him.

I love pitchers duels....not a popular take, but every pitch gets more and more dramatic as the game goes on...

Considering the state of our starting rotation I’d argue even more important than Hudson.

Milner was fun for a few years … not this year

I wish him well, but I hope he is DFA’d soon when a few of the guys on the IL & on rehab are added to the MLB roster for the home stretch

Where would we be without Myers?  I shudder to think...

You were in a chorus of about a dozen people here on the forum with that one.

All of those were great finds … my initial post was highlighting the best of 2024 … Koenig should be included

So after the quick hooks in Myers' last two starts, Murph is sending him out for the 8th at 94 with the pen in good shape?  Interesting.
