These 4 runs are ridiculous. The inning is different if strikes are being called strikes.

Looking forward to the floating strike zone all game. That's the thing with Bucknor, he's consistently inconsistent behind the plate.

Yeah, that commet aged really well...

In your effort to look superior to all the posters that didn't like the trade, you have now jinxed the guy.  Thanks a lot.

I mean when people make disaster declarations before a guy throws a single pitch and call for him to be DFA'd after his first few starts (one of which he pitched well and had some bad luck), those people should rightly be called out. Especially when all we gave up was Joey Wiemer and Jakob Junis.

A single inning in which CB Bucknor gifted the A's 2 runs changes nothing.

Something needs to be done about the umps. Some sort of demotion system because guys like Bucknor have been terrible for like 25 years with 0 consequences

To be honest had montas really been that great?   He had a great game last game but wasn’t every other one like 4-5 innings 3-4 runs

He didn't give up an earned run against the Dodgers. He's been pitching well, if not at an elite level.

When the general public knows his name, then you know it's bad (Angel Hernandez Rule). Put Bucknor on blast for all his terrible calls through the years. The only thing is the Bucknor has a LOT more patience to throwing people out vs Hernandez (even if stats don't show it). I felt like Hernandez kind of dug his own grave when he blamed baseball for his lack of WS appearances and blamed it on his race. In reality, he just stunk.

Was a little early in the game for all the Montas victory laps.

Although it should be 2-2, he absolutely was screwed in the Langiliers AB and there aren't enough words to explain how pathetic CB Bucknor is.

Those disaster declarations were based on his past performance, and recent past performance as well.  I don't think anyone needed to be called out, again, just your attempt at superiority.

We gave up Jakob Junis and Joey Wiemer....

Funny how your attempt to call out "superiority" reeks of an attempt to assert "superiority" by yourself.

Yeah Hernandez was a standout as the poster child for bad umpiring.

Still, guys like CB, Laz Díaz or Ron Kulpa need to face the consequences. They've been the worst umps in the league for years, and thats just pitch calling. Those are the same guys who tend to make awful calls on the bases.

I'm sure there are plenty of AAA umps who could do a better job

I don't know about the trade and arguing whether Montas was worth it, the way I see it is this: Montas is likely going to pitch every turn he takes. Any positive innings he gives us is a bonus. We were scraping the barrel for arms. Bringing in two guys who can eat some innings has been a nice adjustment. Yeah, they're not aces but they are solid MLB arms who maybe just needed an adjustment.

Went to go post a screenshot of the "walk" on the MLB umpires association X account and it turns out I must have done that at some point in the past because they have me blocked.

No shocker that the X account for their union is just as thin skinned as their individual employees.

Nah, it's normal procedure for you, so I wanted you to know that some people notice your holier than thou attitude on these boards.  I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong, happens often.

You made an attempt to make yourself look better than others, and it failed.

I realize that you will have to have the last word and to feel you have won, so I'll give you the last word, but you do think you are better than most, and it's good for you to realize that it isn't true.

2-2 inning over if Bucknor wasn't a total hack.

A broken bat single and a missed third strike. Not a great inning for Montas, but some of it was bad luck.
