There was some talk yesterday and honestly just a lot of talk that MLB players don't shorten their swing with 2 strikes and for some that is absolutely true, but on average MLB players clearly shorten their swing. I get that there are a lot of strikeouts but MLB pitching is also better than it's ever been, so instead of always blaming the hitters for that we could acknowledge how good pitchers have gotten.

Looks like he maxed out at 57 pitches and 4 innings in his rehab assignment, so probably a short start.

Edit: Nevermind most of that was from earlier in the year. Must have gotten re-injured while on rehab. He's only had 1 rehab start going 2.2 innings with 50 pitches, so definitely a short start.

Ball is just not moving at all for Meyers and his accuracy is also not there.  Definitely looks like he is getting tired or going through a dead arm period.  Probably should skip his next start.
