We're pretty tough too.

Yes we are……it won’t surprise me if we are a slight underdog against whoever we play …….we will see

Another listless offensive performance by the Brewers much like the series finale against Colorado, Mitchell's home run notwithstanding.

Offense had a nice 3 game stretch…..last 3 have been a struggle for sure

I hope we can avoid the Phillies and the Dbacks until the NLCS.

We could actually knock Arizona out if we start beating them this week

Fine by me but I'm not very optimistic about it. Dbacks are a good baseball team and might have the best offense in the NL right now.

Stop acting like you won the World Series every year that you win the division and getting too damn hungover the next day to even compete in a game that you still have things on the line.

It's not a great look. I think we have been here enough for us not to act like our season is complete every time we get here.

You are going to see a lot of this the next week or so.   We are playing teams that grinding for a playoff spot.    We really have nothing to play for.    It’s kind of human nature.     I would prefer to be fresh in October now.   Especially the tired arms

Exactly, they played exactly like they were hungover.

If they had nothing on the line, I'd have no issue.

And I know the chances aren't great.

But when a win would have brought you within 2 games of both teams you're chasing with 9 to play and you're just treating it like a throwaway game because you had to party last night? Yeah, that doesn't sit well with me.

Winning is hard and should be celebrated.  Plus not every player was on last years team.  They were flat today but I personally couldn’t care less.  Last night was awesome.  I also don’t think they’re going to chase down either the Phillies or Dodgers

Brewers management should be smarter than that when they have to play a game the next day especially after the Devin Williams wall punching incident in 2022.

Correction that may have been 2021.

I mentioned awhile back how many of their games recently, many of them wins, are the type they'd most likely see in the post-season. Tonight was that type in many ways with one exception---you can't flinch. Walking the 8 & 9 hitters leading off an inning, that's flinching.

We saw very, very few good ABs tonight but Pfaadt was locating almost perfectly, which was quite surprising given what we saw last week.

I figured there would be some of that on the board tonight, and you might be right. And I realize this sounds like an excuse but Pfaadt was NOTHING like the guy we saw last weekend. He was awfully good. And I don't know if Monasterio makes the play on a charge & in-between hop even if he sat with a mug of Ovaltine last night; he just isn't that strong of a defender.

We most likely weren't as 'ready to play' as usual. But I think Pfaadt was the biggest factor.

After last night with all the excitement and celebration I'm not going to crucify the guys for tonight's performance.  Now if we continue to play this flat then we should be concerned.  AZ has a lot to play for too.

Paredes looks good from time to time, but I have no confidence in his control if the game is on the line.

His good command when first coming over here was largely smoke & mirrors. He's never been real good at limiting walks. I have a feeling the off day on Monday is when we'll see some decisions made regarding what the October roster might look like. I don't think Monasterio is in danger, but Collins hasn't looked particularly good at the plate. Limited options though.
