This past season we saw a significant number of rookies who contributed to the team. These players exceeded their rookie status in 2024 and played key roles on the club: Chourio, Ortiz, Dunn, Myers, Koenig, and Hudson.  That's an impressive list and a large rookie crop that the Brewers have not seen in a long time.

The 2025 season could very well surpass that as they have many top 30 prospects and others ready to contribute. I'd expect to see the following play significant roles next year: Misiorowski, Quero, Black, Durbin, Gasser (hopefully), Yoho, Logan Henderson, and Carlos Rodriguez.  I could also see help from the following: Ernesto Martinez, Isaac Collins, Mike Boeve, Chad Patrick, Sam Gardner, and Connor Thomas and likely others as the Brewers are great at uncovering diamonds.

That's a lot of options from the farm that the Brewers will have next year

Last year's rookie class is going to be tough to beat.

Position players combined for 8.5 WAR which was the most any team got from their rookie hitters in 2024, and the pitchers matched them with another 8.5 rWAR of their own which tied the Cubs for the highest total any team got from their first year hurlers.

Agreed on quality.  It will be hard to top what Chourio/Ortiz did as well as those pitchers.  Though they could have more in quantity, hopefully due to the prospects pushing their way onto the roster and not for other reasons.

Rookies that will help in 2025

1 Tyler Black   He will be the left handed 1b for about 60 games along with a little outfield work and being a left handed pinch hitter.

2 Caleb Durbin   He should have the utility infield position at least.  Maybe he can start of hot and hold onto the regular 3b position.

3 Craig Yoho  He should be in the middle of the bullpen by May and be a fixture there for a long time.  I could see him getting some 7th and maybe even 8th inning work in 2025.

Logan Henderson  He should get a start or two when somebody in the rotation goes down.  It is up to him if he sticks.

Robert Gasser  Whenever he is strong and healthy enough.  He was so good last year before he got hurt.

No Misiorowski? He was rumored to be close to a call up last year, and was on standby in Arizona during the playoffs last year. I'd be shocked if he doesn't impact the 2025 ball club in some way.

Maybe late in the year as a reliever.  I just don't see him as a starter until 2026 if at all.

If there is no more INF help acquired, if Durbin underwhelms, and if he is at least adequate at 3B & outplays Dunn---admittedly a lot of "ifs"------I don't think Boeve helping in '25 is out of the question. Of course deciding how to strike a balance between Wilkin, Boeve & Dunn is another nut to crack.

Misiorowski - I can see a mid-season BP stint - similar to Burnes/Woodruff.

Quero - Initially, knock the rust off at AAA and be available if someone gets hurt. Wouldn't surprise me to see a late season call up with Contreras playing more DH and Quero/Haase doing the catching (assuming failures with other DH options here).

Black - I'm not as hopeful as others.  I'll guess he bounces back and forth a few times.

Yoho - I think he will start at AAA, but be one of the early callups for the BP.  Might be the most MLB ready of all the rookies we have.

Connor Thomas - Sounds like he will take a Bryce Wilson role in the BP.  Rule 5 pick that has the rules in his favor to stay at the MLB level.

Gasser, Patrick, Henderson, Rodriguez - Will be the starter backup rotation. Gasser when healthy might have a chance at sticking in the starting lineup.

Durbin - Depends on what else happens this year.  If no more INF are acquired, he might get first shot at the starting lineup to show off their new sparkly acquisition.  If not, he is probably competing with Monasterio and Dunn for the utility role.  Which probably means a bunch of time at AAA.

Boeve - could make a short stop at AAA if our 2B/3B options aren't doing well before coming to the MLB. But since he isn't on the 40-man, I'm guessing things have to go poorly before he is added this year.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."
